Arsenal v Sunderland match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

5 minutes in and Gervinho has looked worse than ever. Hesitant on the ball and has so far lost it every time he's got it.

Was very optimistic but that was quickly exponged once I realised our starting line-up had Gibbs, Mertesacker, Jenkinson, Diaby and Gervinho. Surely Giroud's first contribution will be to be thrown off the bench to salvage the points?

First goal of the season to Swansea.

Chin up mate - Arseshavin will be on for the last 15 to try to scrape a point. :barscarf:

It's not rocket science is it.....Cazorla looks class. You pay money, you get class. Pay 5m from the french league.....you get average.......sigh

"Remember Poldi, Cazorla, Giroud will need a season to adjust."
"Mert hasn't had a full season so he needs time to get up to speed"
"Jack will need time when he returns"

I can hear it now.

Giroud should of started ahead of Gervinho. Cazorla is lobbing nice balls in we need someone who can head them in aside hoping TV5 will make a storming run + header.

Santi looks ace. He'll be a huge asset to Man City next season.
