Re: Gone for a Song?
I've spent the last couple of hours telling myself that Barcelona have bought Alex Song for £15m. I keep checking the date and nope it's not April 1st. I just can't get my head round it. What do people see in this player that we the fans don't? Don't they see the gormless, foul conceding, one pace lump with very little defence minded play that we do? Genuinely am amazed by the whole episode. However more importantly the Wenger interview after the game was shameful, totally shameful. OK, if Song was effectively on strike by being desperate to join them then we had to sell but Wenger's smirking and comments were just disgusting.
Anyway he's gone so here's to welcoming a replacement in the near future....

Re: Gone for a Song?
Wenger said today there will be another signing, strong rumours that sahin will joining on loan. Sahin is not a DM tho, I'm not sure who wenger wants in that position but with bendy Arshavin and co to fuck off there will be money to spend and as is the arsenal way, we will either make a profit or at least break even.Chippy wrote:Why are you so sure? I really don't.
We'll sign a replacement and everyone knows we will.

We no longer have to put up with watching Song steal money whilst wearing an Arsenal shirt.
Rejoice at that news

Could someone please tell me that fat bastard Arseshavin is leaving. There will be the mother-of-all parties at my place when he goes.

I believe Wenger is trying to win trophies, but in a financial way that won't cripple the club - Who wants to be the next Leeds, Pompey or Rangers
Re: Gone for a Song?
Wenger wants to be financially sustainable then everyone will think how clever and forward thinking he is.
This involves finishing top four and the riches it brings.
Winning a trophy - not even on his radar.
To Wenger finishing top four every year and balancing the books is success.

A financial way that wont cripple the club that must explain why he doesnt take the domestic cups seriously then. You telling me putting out weakened teams in the FA cup is trying to win trophies
