Stoke v Arsenal match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Plenty of edge, atmosphere, banter. Up close and personal with the Stokies. Not much choice for drinkies though.
Banter is tough there as they don't actually speak English..

why did frankbutcher get banned BTW
(and why has he nicked Flashes name on twitter?)
Numerous anti-Irish rants sir, then banned from AFC forum too.

Not sure if he's resurfaced here.
He has

This is the fucking worst away day of the season. Nowhere to drink, their fans are mongs and we always lose!

Yeah they do a fingers and toes count on the doors of the pubs if you ain't got 6 on each you don't get in.....obviously very high calibre of watering holes up there! :D

Hate Stoke Away. Undoubtedly they will put our best player Cazorla in hospital for the remainder of the season and we will almost certainly lose. Will need Verminator and BFG to turn up big time to handle their politley put 'direct' style of play...Looking forward to (or perhaps not :rubchin: ) seeing Bouldy's defence tested for the first time

If you do manage to get in, you can look forward to some lively banter with this deep thinking lad:

It is the worst but if you're crafty you can get a drink in one of the locals I did it a couple of seasons ago, the 3-1 FA cup humiliation. Did it with a mate we had no colours on, but the barman gave us a very shifty look when we ordered, couldn't fake a missing-link accent. We ended up getting one of the buses for the in-breds to the stadium but had the sense to keep it zipped till we got off the bus. Christ they're an ugly bunch.

As bad an away day as it is, the buzz when you get something from that cesspit beats anything bar beating the scum. The Shawc**t assault game is still one of the best post match buzzes I've had in the non-trophy winning years.

Fuck me. Cazorlas our best player.
After only one match. Doesn't say much for the rest of em.
Probably true, though Arteta must be up there now and Gervinho of course.
