Well said that manSammyDroppedHisShorts wrote:It's not what it was but it is what it is...Arsenal Football Club
And my love for that club out weighs any owner, manager, player or fan......my love is for Arsenal 1886, Victoria Concordia Crescit. NEVER forgetting that green patch of grass I saw as a seven year old when reaching the top of the North Bank steps!
It's not the same club but...it is the same club. It's red and white, it's the Gunners, it's the heritage, the class the THE. I won't let no foreign mercenary upset me...because I love this club...no matter it's guise it's like my brother, my dad, my uncle, my kids.......you hate them sometimes, they piss you off, the let you down, they say bad things, but you still love them....you still do what you can to see them, you even spend money on them....
I'd rather be an Arsenal fan than any other fan......
Now these three young men have come to Arsenal and bring to the table class, guile, skill, goals and most of all plan A and Plan B.
Giroud to me is a real gem that will be polished and will reap a hatful of goals. I like the 45 minutes he produced in Cologne. It suggests to me that his aerial power will be far more explosive than that of Chamakh and Bendtner. Albeit one chance that the keeper tipped over on Sunday, his ability to get his head on crosses is one I haven't seen for sometime. In fact I'd go as far to say he reminds me of Alan Smith. If he can be half the player Smudger was then I feel we have made a very significant signing.
Also remember...he is a winner...something our changing room now lacks totally.
Santiago Cazorla is a fantastic player. I have watched Spanish football extensively over the lat couple of years and I can assure any doubters that this lad is the bollocks. He has the ability to lock defences with precision and I firmly believe he will bring to the table the assists ratio both Fabregas and van Persie attributed.
Also.....he is a winner.
Podolski well I think people many people on here underestimate this guy. You don't lead a German attack one hundred times and be useless. I have always rated this lad and I truly feel that he is ideal for us. I think RVP will be long forgotten when we sing He scores what he wants Lukas Poldolski scores when he wants.
Also....He is a goal scoring machine and we will see as many goals from him as we did RVP. I will even hasten to say welcome to our next one hundred goals for the club player.
What am I trying to say is this. We are all sore and annoyed by this latest transfer fiasco and we all know that in our hearts RVP left because he felt that his chances of winning things were best suited at OT. BUT.....I feel he has made a very big error.
Here is to a season that may surprise many. Stay safe on your trips to other grounds. Sing your hearts out for the name on the shirt that is Arsenal
And remember....fuck em all......
Yeah but the change we really need is at the yop and that aint happening.green gooner wrote:Saturday's game looks to have killed this thread off![]()

I for one have hoped for chamge at Arsenal for sometime, i just draw a line under players who feel they are best served elsewhere, why beat ourselves up about them? Open the door and let them run on, i care about the players who want to be Arsenal players, i suppport the players who want to be Arsenal players and if they don't then they can justOFF!
The old guard of RVP, Cesc, Nasri etc didn't serve us so well if our trophy room is anything to go by so we needed change, FACT. project youth was unpopular on this forum and at long last Wenger caught on to that too!!! Rice was branded a yes man and was also unpopular so now we have Bould who we hope can guide our defence towards greater stability.
Change is good, embrace the change and remember it's what people have called for from ages ago. it brings uncertainty for sure, but it brings new hope and hopefully new heroes.

WE ARE THE ARSENAL and we will win because we are the bestest!
Sell off double footballer of the Year? No problem!
Giroud is obviously a top-class signing. Amazing. Forget the miss, his ability to have amassed less than 100 minutes of competitive football for the worst France team of the past 10 years is testament to his class!
Diaby is back and fit and firing.
Forget questioning the direction of the club, forget looking at wee things like facts and yer know, how long since Arsenal have a trophy...
Forget the sheep who will happily line Wenger and the board's pockets.
Forget the absolute lack of winning mentality.
Forget keeping the exact same defence that conceded almost 50 league goals last year.
Forget 7 years without a trophy.
Forget the total lack of suitable goalkeepers.
Forget the total lack of a plan B.
Forget having no recognised DCM of note as profits stack up.
Forget no having a sinlge recognised reliable goalscorer.
I genuinely think Arsenal have a chance this year, no piss-taking. I think we'll have the last laugh when we finish in the coveted 'Top 4' again.
And then all those people who claimed we would finish 11th are going to be left looking mighty foolish when a club with a wage bill of over £120 million manages to finish in the top 4!
COME ON ARSENE FC UP AND AT 'EM!!!

Losing RVP, Fabregas and Nasri was seen by every impartial football observer as massive blows.
To the AKBs? It is 'progress'.
Wonderful....

last season there were times when Arsenal could still pretend to be a big club - we did after all have probably the best striker in Europe at the time.
no one can pretend now surely?
what is interesting is that there is now an acceptance that Arsenal no longer challenge for the title - it is all about the top 4 trophy. we are therefore into a new phase in the Arsenal history.
the next phase will be when the same people are content for us to be competing with Everton for that all important Europa league place

But isn't that the yogurt that is 'great for kids and adults, full of flavour and nutritional values'?How can that possible be to blame, unless you're suggesting a change to Muller, Shape or another brand would be better for the players?
