Re: The weekend's other games
Made my stomach turn seeing that toxic Dutch bastard in a United shirt. I always enjoy a manc defeat but tonight was extra special seeing that slimy prick losing. Robin Van Persie YOU KNOW YOU'RE A C.U.N.T.

Maybe Bouldy will have us defending like that once again, but somehow I doubt it.BournemouthRED wrote:Is it something to do with global warming?armchair supporter wrote:Really. Re: The weekend's other games
in the light of losses for manyoo and liverpool and a scraped win for city, i think this is going to be another year of surprises.
and i actually saw a united fan suggest that RvP relied on Song and they should have bought both
i'm not feeling that bad about the sunderland home draw now.

Re: The weekend's other games
Fellaini was unbelievable, and credit to Everton I can't remember the last time I watched them put in such a complete team performance.
Always nice to watch United lose (even if it they're still going to be well above us), extra nice to see RvP come off the bench and barely touch the ball. Have to say Ferguson's tactics were miles off tonight, not to mention Cleverley and Scholes being miles off the pace and shut out of the game by Everton's pressing.

Re: The weekend's other games
Absolute masterclass in tactics from David Moyes tonight- Howard had the pipe and slippers out against United with all their attacking players on the pitch.
A well organised defence that shut down the threat of the opposition and an attacking ploy that exploited a weakness in the United team- it'll never catch on

As much as we bitch and moan about Wenger, am I the only one who thought Manure didn't have a plan B tonight. Like-for-like swapping of personnel. I know their injuries hampered them a bit, but who else could they have brought on?

Re: The weekend's other games
Yeah, sometimes Ferguson does manage to get things spectacularly wrong tactically. Cleverley and Scholes couldn't get past Everton's fast pressing, and United didn't play enough in between Everton's back 4 and midfield. Kagawa looked pretty handy but was talked up beyond belief by the pundits. When Everton sat back I was expecting United to be running at them and playing intricate passes and fizzing balls in, but instead they were just tossing aimless balls into the box which played right into Everton's hands.MegaGooner wrote:As much as we bitch and moan about Wenger, am I the only one who thought Manure didn't have a plan B tonight. Didn't really seem to have an idea about how RvP should be used when he came on and ended up doing fuck all on the right wing. Guess Berbatov may have been useful, not sure why he's on the bench if he's not going to be brought on in that situation. Saying that, I think RvP has better movement in and around the box and with the ball at his feet in tight areas, no point bringing Berbatov on if he would have been shifted to the right wing as well.
