Andre Santos nicked after 130 mph police chase!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ok do you believe the BBC, or the Telegraph, or everywhere else its reported?

What is it with our players, NB52 drove up the same bit of road and ploughed into a tree, Cesc crashed there too, etc etc etc.

Why is it ok for anybody to drive at that speed regardless of whether there are schoolkids around? There is always someone around.

I met Santos once (sort of), he was in a restaurant in SW London that's on the same street as my flat. He was there with Sagna and some other guy that I didn't recognise, plus 2 birds. The birds were looking WELL bored - they were basically on their phones texting and Santos / Sagna were doing the same. I've never seen a more awkward scene, I reckon they were on a double date. Santos loves the bling though - he had about 10 rings (not joking), all of them diamond.

Driving fast is really fun, anyone who says it isn't is a liar or an idiot!

If the road is clear and away from any sort of housing, ie motorway, then go for it!

Not sure if you are posting in jest here but if not, that's not too clever, mate. An entire family was killed by a guy speeding out my way a few years back. He hit a roundabout (on a motorway) so fast that his front wheels were sheared off, his car went airborne and slammed in through the windscreen of the other car. Photos showed one car basically buried inside the front of the other car. Horrific stuff. Mom, dad and kid in the back all died at the scene. As did the prick who was speeding. Funerals were all closed coffin affairs.

If you want to speed, go hire a couple hours around a race circuit.

The only reason he was driving (away from colney) so fast was that - Song the Bong still owes him a fiver , so he wanted to catch the *word censored* before he got through check-in at the airport...

 Really ?

    what hate!? - I don't think anyone 'hates' him...I don't..he has been foolish and reckless in driving at that speed in a built up area, mind you that's not a big crime in Brazil - is it!?...I mean they drive like the Italians with no MSM rule etc...I'm sure BG will know.

Very sad story and driver sounds like a dickhead, however I did say clear road, if there is a roundabout in the middle of it it's not a clear road is it!

It is possible to drive fast and responsibly, what's worse some one doing 130 with their full attention or someone doing 70 not paying any attention at all!

It's not having a go at Santos for driving 130mph at 9:30am on a Saturday morning that is sad. What is sad is the childish adoration of the speed he was going on a public road. I think some people just see inwards
