I would also doubt that he has the commitment to see out a four year contract with anyone. He strikes me as a guy who just doesn't ever know what he wants. (except money, he always wants that)supergeorgegraham wrote:Lets be honest and not waste time on this guy. Yes he will score goals but he FAILED at City and now plays for a Spurs team who are never going to win the league.

Re: Adebayor to Spurs
Even if he plays really well there he's not going to stay beyond 2 years when his wages drop from £175k/w to £80k/w.Bradywasking wrote:I would also doubt that he has the commitment to see out a four year contract with anyone. A huge arsehole. Both he and the scum deserve each other. How he can play for a club whose fans racially abused him and they chear a guy who they racially abused is beyond me.

Re: Adebayor to Spurs
he will start off well then do what he did here and at city. re clubs still paying wages of ex players, well to get round that they could just pay the equivalent value on top of the transfer fee instead. this would only work for clubs that could afford the lump sum though, so city would be fine.
i see no difference in a club paying the wages of an ex palyer or just payign extra on the transfer fee

Re: Adebayor to Spurs
hes a twat for sure. but dont get it twisted...he'd easily be the best striker on our team.... sad really...
Re: Adebayor to Spurs
Not interested in him in the slightest. No doubt he will start losing interest at Sp*rs soon enough or they will lose interest in him. Same old same old.

Shockingly depressing and sadly too true. Urinates on anything we've currently got up front.Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:hes a twat for sure. but dont get it twisted...he'd easily be the best striker on our team.... sad really...

And that's based on one game for podolski and giroud?
I'd rather have those two than Adebayor all day

Until he lost interest again...or wanted another wage rise ....or fancied (re) trying his chances at real etc....like many he has skill, but on him they are wasted.Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:hes a twat for sure. but dont get it twisted...he'd easily be the best striker on our team.... sad really...

Agreed 100%. The fuckwit couldn't hit a barn with a cow in that last season. And we were creating fuckloads of chances for him too. Yeah he was great in flashes, good for a while, but then ultimately went to shit when he started thinking he was a superstar and his head got turned by more money and lost interest in being at Arsenal.flash gunner wrote:Well said mate. Re: Adebayor to Spurs
They basically already are doing that though, practically giving him away at £5m. Quick calculation shows that if City are paying £95k/w for 2 years that works out at about £10m. Therefore, they're essentially paying Spurs £5m to take Adebayor on far lower wages than he'd ever consider.the playing mantis wrote:he will start off well then do what he did here and at city. re clubs still paying wages of ex players, well to get round that they could just pay the equivalent value on top of the transfer fee instead. this would only work for clubs that could afford the lump sum though, so city would be fine.

Adebayor has fuck all dignity, it's all about £££££ for that twat.rigsby wrote:A huge arsehole. Both he and the scum deserve each other. How he can play for a club whose fans racially abused him and they chear a guy who they racially abused is beyond me.
Re: Adebayor to Spurs
Despite the fact they do deserve each other, there's too many clubs who will give a bad penny a chance because they're desperate and soulless and mercenary and football keeps these players on the football merry go round when they should be sent to a football scrapheap in the sky,
