Andre Santos nicked after 130 mph police chase!

If the road is clear and away from any sort of housing, ie motorway, then go for it!
Not sure if you are posting in jest here but if not, that's not too clever, mate. An entire family was killed by a guy speeding out my way a few years back. He hit a roundabout (on a motorway) so fast that his front wheels were sheared off, his car went airborne and slammed in through the windscreen of the other car. Photos showed one car basically buried inside the front of the other car. Horrific stuff. Mom, dad and kid in the back all died at the scene. As did the prick who was speeding. Funerals were all closed coffin affairs.

If you want to speed, go hire a couple hours around a race circuit.
Very sad story and driver sounds like a dickhead, however I did say clear road, if there is a roundabout in the middle of it it's not a clear road is it!

It is possible to drive fast and responsibly, what's worse some one doing 130 with their full attention or someone doing 70 not paying any attention at all!
Neither is acceptable mate... The problem with driving at 130 is you and the car might be capable of doing speeds like that but others around you aren't and what looks like a clear road whilst doing 130 can soon turn into an unclear road sooner than you can slow down or stop. Its a ridiculous speed to be doing on any UK road

Exactly. No matter how good/careful driver you are, every time you go out on the road you are at the mercy of just one idiot coming the other way.

I got done for speeding after we drew 1-1 against the scum In the Carling cup semi in 2008. Drove back to b'mouth fuming (little did I know what would happen in the 2nd leg :banghead: ) the copper wasn't obviously a gooner as he gave me a ticket!!

Annoying, as it was in the worst/slowest car I've ever had, but i never speed anymore so I learnt my lesson

I hope you get arrested.

It's people like you who get others killed! It may seem "really fun" but it only takes a split second to lose control and you've either killed yourself, someone else or both! I wonder if you'd find it "really fun" flying into a car at speed, surviving only to find yourself in court facing charges of dangerous driving and manslaughter. If you want to leave your name on something, fine, but DON'T leave it on other peoples headstone!

what hate!? - I don't think anyone 'hates' him...I don't..he has been foolish and reckless in driving at that speed in a built up area,
Erm, I was talking about the dislike of him as a player, not this incident.

To be fair Arsene would love it if Santos went to prison. Imagine all the cheap squad recruits Arsene could find in prison?
There's incredibl value in that transfer market! Only if it's a French prison mind....

To be fair theirs probably a caveat in the contract that if the player brings the club into disrepute, i.e. by going to jail then they can terminate the contract, and likely sue the player for lost transfer revunues a la Mutu at Chavski a few years ago.

Probably heard about Song getting booted out the club for lateness, and had gone round the drive thru three times earlier that morning

Tell you what though if I had a £1 for every bloody time I heard a (insert name) football club would do anything to get 3 points joke , every time a player commits a motoring offence I would literally have like £16 now. Also If Santos gets done for this its a driving ban, not 3 points , so their.
