Andre Santos nicked after 130 mph police chase!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Augie

I was only using the word "Ostracised" in order to fit the name Nigel into my paragraph; in fact I doubt this will have any effect on his relationship with the rest of the squad.

It is fun to drive fast, but it is also stupid to drive above the speed limit for obvious reasons.

Knowing he was driving at that speed in his motor some of the other players will probably want to get a similar car to what Santos has. Or worse, try and prove theirs can go even faster!! :banghead:

I was going to work, to training. It was about 8:30/9am. I was driving on the motorway and I was a bit over the speed limit because I was running a little late. As soon as I saw the police I pulled over. They asked for my papers and I respectfully obliged, knowing they were only doing their job. I had my passport and drivers license with me, and I’m allowed to drive with my [foreign] license for a year.

They told me I was going too fast, and I ended up missing training. As soon as I arrived I explained everything to the club and Arsenal offered all assistance possible. I have to be in court in September when I’ll present all my papers, i.e, passport, local and foreign driving license. I was going too fast but not as fast as The Sun has reported.

Santos' PR man talked to me but hasn't told me anything more "ITK". Looks like he'll get a slap on the wrist anyways

He was probably a bit slower then 130mph, but he was surely way above the limits, he has a maserati, ffs! In Brazil, rich boys with expensive toys get to steam around in the night freely, the *word censored* even post their law breaking on youtube and the police does shit. So I figure he thought it would be alright to do it in a british mortorway as well

Who would have thought The Sun would have exagerated a story?

My point exactly. That comic rag appeals to the lowest common denominator. They scream out the headlines and therefore, it just has to be the truth.

I am not a Santos fan but the speed you all fell for s**t coming from that glorified toilet paper. The Daily Scum said it's so therefore it must be so.

The same f***ing newspaper part of the phone hackers, bin robbers. Santos is a twat but if you're still buying or reading the Scum then more fool you

Wow alot of angels in this thread.

If you want to drive that fast and it is safe as can be I.E Not endangering anybody else, only yourself. It's your choice. It not comparable to a tosser who does it in a residential area or near other cars etc.

Let's face it, if you had the money would you be a saint? I know I wouldn't. I know if it was me I'd be going faster than that. Sideways. With several eastern European ladies of the evening. And more vodka than blood in my body....
