As a Dutch Gooner, born & raised in the same city as Judas RvP, I know our premier league 'Eredivisie' by heart and to be honoust: Apart from Vertonghen I don't think there is even ONE player who was active in our country last season, that's able to be worthy of the Arsenal-shirt directly. There are some big players coming up, but they still have to grow in Holland. If they leave early, like Büttner, Anita or Assaidi, they will be just new Ryan Babels. Utter :censored:

The main players the next years will be Leroy Fer (FC Twente) or Kevin Strootman (PSV), considering the DM-position. But they are not there yet. LONG WAY TO GO!

Right now, I would settle for M'Vila!
Anita is that good Mr. Rotterdam 8)

He's not a bad player, but he's simply not good enough for Arsenal. Also he's not a genuine LB, since he's right footed. But considering your avatar of the Midfield Genius, you're an Ajax fan. So probably not too objective..

Why can't our club and manager be open and honest like this, is it really too much too ask.

To be fair I agree partly. He should've stayed another season but he has the talent to suceed in the Premiere League.

*Cough* Flamini *Cough*

With regards to the other (lack of) activity, I get the feeling that Wenger has been given an either/or option by the board. Where he would like to sign Sahin and a DM, he may be having to choose between one of the other. So my feeling is that is the reason we look to have missed out on Sahin. And also the potential of Walcott not signing a new contract maybe... (even considering the above statement)
