Welcome new posters

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Welcome new posters

Post by Chippy »

In the good old days we used to encourage new posters to start a thread to introduce themselves. But that would now take up too much room. However we have had a lot of new posters over the last couple of months and we know nothing about you. Please post on this thread giving some idea of where you live, how you became an Arsenal fan, where you stand on the Arsene knows, Wenger out debate, and anything else of interest. Cheers.

Oh and watch out for wums and groomers!

n.b.

If KingJayson aka HashKads offers to take you under his wing, be very scared !!! :?
Otherwise most other posters range between a mix of the fairly sane or enlightened.

Welcome.

Still relatively new so here goes. Live in Cardiff, brought up as an AFC fan from birth and lucky enough to have had a season ticket since I was 6. Since 2nd year uni I've struggled getting to as many games and last year's tally of 4 was by far the lowest. Just graduated but doing my LPC this year so essentially still a student.

Regarding Wenger, I think he is somewhat complicit in the way the club is geared for profit, lacks tactical nous and don't see us challenging for the league under him again, but I also disagree with the complete demonisation of the character of a man that has showed complete loyalty to the club when he could have walked away and had his pick of any club he wished to manage in Europe.

Don't worry I've been on here long enough to realise how pro-Wenger comments are received

Needless to say I wasn't funding an AFC season ticket since the age of 6 haha my Dad has always taken me and my brother, who now lives in Alkmaar. Managed to get to loads of games first year because I'm in Nottingham so got to Wolves and Brum away and down to N5 quite a lot but haven't managed so much in the last two years because of money primarily.

I am still technically student scum but only for one more year and I've already got a big boy job lined up so bring your best :box: :box:

Been a Gooner since the age of 8-9 when I saw Arsenal for the first time on tv. Can´t tell which match, but I remember an outstanding Vieira 8) Took me a couple of years, but finally I came to Highbury. Arsenal - Bolton 2-1, 2003/2004.

But this wasn´t enough...so...

After my graduate, I moved straight to London from Sweden. Been living in North London since then.

"wait till we´ve paid off the stadium and we´ll have the final laugh :blah: "
No sarcasm though, I believe Wenger knows.

For me, Onlinegonner is a great place to receive info and thoughts about whats going on inside and outside the club. It´s also a good place to trade tickets :typing:

Favourite player: Freddie Ljungberg.

Come on you Gunners!

Been on here a while, but rarely post, although when Baba goes off i have to hold back.I actually agree with a lot of what he says but he does seem to hate the club he claims he supports an awful lot.

Anyway.

I live in Broadstairs, down in Kent. Supported Arsenal as far back as i can remember. Grandads side of the family are Gooners, Nans side are Spuds.

First game was Vs Wednesday, 1-0 appropriately, Paul Marriner scored, and the next 11 games i went to were all 1-0 too.

Probably averaged about 6-7 games a season from the age of 7, then as many as i could when i was old enough to go on my own, money and job situation permitting.

Don't go too often these days as i end up arguing with the rose-tinted Wengerites, plus i don't want to make the cnuts on the board any richer whilst they destroy my Club.

Bergkamp and Adams will always be my idols. Will we ever see the likes of them again??
