Overrated Players
With Modric's £30m move to Madrid all but done, I was wondering if anybody actually thinks Madrid have got a good deal? Looking at their CM area in which they have Ozil, Khedira, Alonso, Granero, Kaka, Diarra and have recently shipped out a promising player in Sahin, what will he actually add to their midfield? A 'creative midfielder' for a team that's been in and around the top 4 who has only contributed 13 league goals and 21 assists in 4 seasons. Notoriously fails to turn up in big games, presumably he's engineered a move to Spain to continue the trend of Cesc pissing all over him twice a season.
Be interesting to see to what extent people agree, and what other players people reckon are serially overrated? I'll get the ball rolling: Juan Mata.

I'll add Gervinho to that list by virtue of most pundits/commentators believing him to be a few goals away from a great winger and very dangerous, instead of horse shite.

Glad we never got that World Cup and European Champion Juan Mata now, Cazorla looks much better.

I see what you've done there. Sarcasm.Gunnersaurus wrote:Glad we never got that World Cup and European Champion Juan Mata now, Cazorla looks much better.

Seems to have a great understanding going already with Ego Hazard. So glad we missed out on them both now.

Anyway, i'm gonna say Suarez and Rooney. Controversial? Never understood how he (Rooney) gets mentioned in the same breath as Messi and Ronaldo. As for Suarez, imo he's a low scoring, trouble making C*@t.
Re: Overrated Players
Walcott is the most overated player in the premiership but you would never guess it reading the English press.£100k a week fuck off to Liverpool

Walcott is now Arsenal's best player and no I am not being a WUM. It is about time we paid him £100,000 a week.
been saying that all year and if we dont he will probably join the exodus

Yes you are. There can be no other reason for claiming such a thing.
Along with Song, it would be one of the best things the club have done, letting the sprinter go. You can see how scared he is when the Ox plays. 'Shit he's better than me already. The bastard'. If the bin dippers (that's Liverpool) come in for him it would be ridiculous not to take the money. Get rid.

Re: Overrated Players
does no one remember how effective Walcott was last season?
v Chelsea ?
v Spurs ?
you see you need the BIG players in the BIG games.
there are a lot of people on here with selective memories.

Re: Overrated Players
That's probably why they don't remember. Two games is not enough to warrant 'Best Player' status amongst most people.Red Member wrote:does no one remember how effective Walcott was last season?

If only our other players could play well twice a season what a team we would have.Red Member wrote:does no one remember how effective Walcott was last season?

thats just a stupid post and when you add in the fact that he was on the bench on sunday, it makes it an even more of a stupid post.Red Member wrote:Walcott is now Arsenal's best player and no I am not being a WUM. It is about time we paid him £100,000 a week.
