Arsenal Under 21's

Post by OneBardGooner »

Just watched the highlights of their (home) game against Blackburn...3 players looked very promising:

Aneke (can pick a pass)
Eisfeld (young German lad has something of the Jack wilshere's about him).
and
Sanchez Watt.

I had forgotten about Herschel Oulio Sanchez Watt.
I posted a bit about him last summer saying I wanted him sold as I just could not see hi making it with us, surprised he is still around.
Happy to be proven wrong.

Watt has no chance. If you haven't been given a serious opportunity by 21 at AFC these days you're clearly not up to it. You could see the same with Lansbury, shame he didn't make it but it's just frustrating that we keep so many young players on the books for so long when they're never going to cut it.

Lansbury should have been given a chance last year but instead Wenger persisted with dross. He has now left.

Whioch probably tells you how highly rated (or not) Lansbury is another JET .... Sanchez Watt is another one didnt cut it at Leeds on loan so will hardly make it here

That's what I mean though. JET I knew wouldnt make it and I understood his sale, Lansbury I thought has shown quality on loan and deserved at least a few sub appearances...i Dont understand how ARSEne can keep Watt who has been frankly a bit shit and was on the bench at crawley for most of last year and sell Lansbury... :banghead:

No point in keeping him for any longer, as said Watt has been out on loan and not progressed sufficiently.
Lower level player not Arsenal / premiership material.

Watt won't make it. Never been that good anyway.

Just another Rui Fonte and Rhys Murphy.

The U21s played with a great deal of heart and conviction. My six year old prefers watching them to the first team at the moment. Quite a few players with real promise, but I suspect we may see Eisfeld in the first team before too long.

Watt will never play for a Championship club let alone a PL side. He's nowhere near good enough. Symptomatic of the major issues at Arsenal that we're still paying this guy when he has no chance of making it at the club. Disgraceful management.
