Well the good thing to come out of yet another transfer window farce, is that Arsenal will not finish top 4 this season, not a hope in hell. So one way or another the club and Wenger will run out of luck and finally reap what they have sown for the last few years.
Unfortunately for us fans, there will be a few seasons in the doldrums, out of the CL places, fighting with Everton and Newcastle for 6th place, and the League cup being our only realistic hope of a trophy.....until Usmanov gets in and injects a large pot of money.

I just don't agree with this. Manchester clubs are miles ahead of us and if Chelsea keep up anything like their early season form then they'll be 3rd. BUT Liverpool are shite, Newcastle are not going to repeat last season's performance as teams are more wary, which leaves only Spurs who have the same stale squad as last year minus Modric and Kaboul for 4 months (although they might well strengthen the players they're likely to sign are hardly going to be worth 15 points a year or whatever). I'm not saying I'm happy about it or that it's all we should be aiming to achieve but for me we are still overwhelming favourites to finish top 4. Say what you like but we're in better shape than this time last year, and Spurs are in worse shape.
