According to reports in Poland Arsenal are strongly linked to 19 year old striker Meykin Profitski. Apparently he's been offered a contract with a clause that states he must be sold to Manchester City after fulfilling potential.

Dunno which is worse.......being linked with no players or being linked with shit players  :( As you know, I don't really rate ping pong and I fail to see much difference between him and tiote - both are rumored to be midfield "enforcers" but the reality is that they are both reckless in the extreme
As for rumour linking us with a loan deal for essien    We are Arsenal FC FFS and shouldn't be loaning the likes of essien or benyoun at their stage in life - loan affelay or sahin with a view to buying is fair enough but to borrow elder statesmen like that shows us up as a two bob cheap organisation that cannot buy it's own players and resorts to taking other clubs cast offs
If that wasn't bad enough we are now also linked with sturridge ? FFS we are getting rid of one arrogant egomaniac (bendtner) and replacing him with another ?   :banghead:

When all is said and done, this transfer window has proved what many Gooners have been saying for a long time.......no club with any sort of ambition would buy the likes of bendtner, chamakh or denilson :( For all his bullshit bravado, bendtner is now being offered to stoke fcuking city......can it get much more embarrassing for the Danish "superstar" ?

Lack of purchases is worrying but no surprise.

I want:

- Left Back
- Dynamic tackling box to box midfielder a la Flamini (preferred in my book to a tackling midfielder who "sits" a la Gilberto)
- Striker

All of these and more are needed.

AUGIE

I would be delighted if Benayoun returned, far more use than Arshavin, Chamakh or Park.

And why is Eastmond still at the club?

So buy benyoun then and stop the pathetic loaning of our rivals cast offs  Tbh I am not in favour of bringing him in anyway as I fail to see it as a step forward plus we have too many players that can fill that role in the team as it is and no proper DM or left back and are screwed with the back up keeper options

Benayoun on a two year deal would be fine for starters.
Gives us the option of using Oxlade-Chamberlain in the centre of the park instead of Diaby, or at least a stronger bench.

I would start Benayoun over Gervinho any day.

If it's a toss-up between Benayoun or nobody, I'd take Benayoun. Proved quite useful second half of last year, although he's hardly going to transform the side he would provide far more than Gervinho or Arshavin.

But again he ain't a winger though is he ? Truth be told himself, rosicky and arshavin are all number 10 type players playing off the front man than they are wingers

Rosicky certainly. Not sure about Arshavin, spoken to people who reckon he's not a winger either but he's never really player anywhere but there for us for a sustained period. Benayoun in reality is probably just a poor man's Cazorla but (and it pains me to say this given that the Chavs finished a few places below us in the league and they don't want him) I think he would be an improvement on our current squad.

I think we need [Manager], DM, striker, winger, LB, RB cover, keeper cover in that, DM and striker desperately so. In reality having seen all this shit before I would take signing one of those even though it means we'll be left with huge gaps.

Into the last day I'll reckon we'll do 3 deals today

Essien on loan, been out injured and no doubt going to ACN in january.

Lloris from Lyon - we need gk cover surely wenger must see that, spuds have stumbled on that deal. Lloris will want champions league football.

Bendtner out to ac milan, they need a striker robinho injured for 3 months, with mexes coming in as part of the deal.

3 players that would make squad stronger. I thought Yossi was going back to west ham???

I would never EVER have that cheating fouling son of a whore Essien at Arsenal and neither should Wenger after all the dirty, career threatening tackles he's put into Arsenal players over the years or the comments he's made about us either.

I loathe this *word censored* as much as ,shawcross, smith, taylor as he has in the last few years done as much to put Arsenal players in Hospital as anyone out there, and the worse thing is that he can play but chooses to use violence and has got away with it as the chelsea slags have done for years.
If he arrives I seriously doubt if I can stomach it and will hate every moment until he goes .
I simply cannot support this *word censored* in any way shape or form ,my season may be over quicker than usual !

The clubs after Benayoun are Villa & West Ham.

I thought the Essien rumour was for a 6 month loan?
