A friendly warning... now a good old moan thread!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Augie comment has been removed. Many will agree but we have to be careful or we get shut down. EDIT by Sammy

All those clowns that were quick to turn on rvp for his stance and suggesting that the purchases of cazorla, podolski and giroud showed a change in club policy and labelling rvp as a judas based on those purchases have been badly shown up as fools that they are  Rvp met with wenger so was privvy to the plans wenger and gazidas had going forward and those plans clearly underwhelmed him so you tell me.....who was wrong and who was right ?
There are many of us that have suggesting for a while now that we are well down the road of being another notts forest and villa (minus the european cups of course  ) - once successful clubs whose focus changed to being a club that develops players to sell on for profits whilst becoming an irrelevent club to everyone outside our own club

Mate RVP didn't need to meet the lying, arrogant :censored: to know that Wenker has NO plans going forward except top four. Who knows what lies they told him anyway. You, me, RVP and anybody else with half a brain and one eye in their head could see what was happening. I said it when he lef and I'll say it again. He left to join an successful, forward thinking club with a focussed ambitious manager who doesn't want to finish second place...or third or fourth for that matter.

In that case all the threads should be merged cause they all usually end up the same way.
Wonder why......? :rubchin:

What's laughable and yet sad is that there were those who really thought Wenger had seen the errors of his ways, and those same fools will think the same next summer.
The fact is with the sales of rvp and song we are weaker now than we were last may, despite the signings of carzola pod and the french andy carroll.
We have lost 30+ goals and now have no recognised holding/defensive mf, I don't give a fuck what you may have thought of song, we now have no one to play that position. Idiot Wenger (can i call him that or is that considered abusive despite being accurate) will now revert to playing a round peg in a square hole either in the shape of Arteta or as i believe Vermalen, as the dfm.
As others have said only when Wengers chickens come home to roost will his gross mismanagement once again be laid bare, this could well begin tomorrow, 4-0 to the mousers being my prediction.

No you cannot - apparently any name calling of wenger is strictly prohibited these days  I have defended the rules and mods on here in the past but for me it is now escalated to communist china levels of tolerance towards dissent and I do wonder if it has been instigated by those who still defend wenger and/or get outraged at any name calling of the inept buffoon    :banghead:

Come on fellas, you know it's the four letter word style abuse that we have to crack down on. We are under no pressure as mods other than to crack down on personal abuse and libellous statements. Criticism of the inept eejit is very freely allowed here as you well know.

Chippy my last edited post didnt include the word c**t (unless I am mistaken) :?

Nowadays people are just way too sensitive and obviously I am not just referring to here when I say that  I can understand the fear of any libelous remarks that could see the forum sued but are we that precious now that name calling is so offensive ? I have enjoyed coming on here since I joined up and the ability to release the frustration with similar minded people has been a part of that and it is getting too sanatised imo and is akin to a library on occasions in that we can discuss things but don't let passion enter the discussion for fear of raised voices

Some of the sexually explicit stuff that gets posted on here is 10 times more "offensive" imo than calling Wenker a c u n t. And the mods seem happy to actively participate. See this thread...............
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35214

I'm not offended by it. I dont get offended easily. But if you're gonna edit someone calling Wenger a c u n t etc. IMO that stuff is much worse. Isn't it?

Yes I edited them...what's the issue?

Carry on guys...remember the closure last season.....let's get it closed guys....I am sorry you don't like the edit but then I don't like doing tippers competitions for 30 weeks which was then stopped because of closure....now for me that was a kick in the mouth as I worked hours on that thing......yet a few words of abuse aimed at our manager and we get a bit of tension....

When I have edited I have written a nice, polite message to said person...I really don't think we need to bit bat and tie back because you have a word edited......for your
Information I made a comment yesterday that wasn't acceptable and it was edited by one of my fellow mods....I was wrong and accepted the decision....

PLUS I don't read every single word written...I just judge what I see and act....ooooohh I sound like Wenger

Sammy I ain't making a personal attack on you or any of the mods on here and I feel I have always been one of those paying tribute to the commitment you guys show this place 8) What I have an issue with is what I perceive to be an over zealous policy which seems to outlaw name calling and the policy seems to have gone into overdrive of late. Maybe I am wrong but I thought that this place was closed down cos one individual incorrectly believed that this forum had published details about her like her address and then complained to the hosting site ? If that is correct then what has that to do with name calling ? :?

Personally I don't see the big deal about name calling unless it is libelous - maybe I am splitting hairs but I feel that to judge it to be abuse it needs to be said face to face or at least directly at the person on here but unless wenger is a member on here then that ain't happening. None of us are happy with the way that the world has gone all pc but surely we have a choice as to whether we join in with it or not ? Football is an emotional sport and as I have said before, people do need to let off some steam from time to time.

I am hoping that this clampdown is just being cranked up a few levels for these few days on the back of another disgraceful transfer window and the expected backlash arriving from it. I shudder to think what will happen if name calling is permanently outlawed and foresee a quick expulsion from the forum for yours truly if this is the case
