People write this is a bad pool team,but this is the same team that were unlucky to draw with man city,sometimes you only look as good as the other team lets you.
We closed them down all over the pitch and except once or twice they never had a sight of goal.

If Arsenal had signed Dembele, Dejong, Cesar as GK and a real class striker like eg. RVP as opposed to French Akinbiyi, this Arsenal team would be dangerous.
Dembele, Dejong and Cesar woulda cost £20 mil put together. Oh well.

Dembele & Ceasar maybe but De Jong for £4m from Citeh would never had happened. Less so to us or any EPL club. This team is growing on me & I'm beginning to have confidence in the team. We are solid at the back and thats been our undoing so if we keep it tight at the back, goals will surely come. Lets take the positives and get behind the team.

Maybe I am blinded but I thought arteta was our best player today (as well as last week) - those lads in front of him can only do well when they have somebody sitting in a disciplined position in front of back 4 and arteta is intelligent enough to do that.

I also thought that our whole back line played well today and jenkinson in particular impressed me defensively (although not so much when in possession ). Cannot understand the talk about sterlings performance today - for me jenks showed him down a blind alley all day long and rarely let the cross in by him

I'd like to pose a question on the myth of this new improved defence inspired by Bould?
Mertesacker was booked after just six minutes, as there was a gap so enormous to exploit that Suarez knocked it right past him.
Dan Agger was left completely free from a corner, just two yards out near post.
Gerrard was left totally free, with two overlapping options and not a defender in sight: WHY???

Just got in from work - didn't see the game, but it sounds like we really deserved the win....good to hear so many players had good games: diaby, pods, Jenks, TV5, Arteta, andd of course Cazorla!
