And vitriol? even-handedness.

Don't agree mate. There are clearly people that want him to fail - some of the comments about him are way over the top. Here we are celebrating a good win and a good performance and there are still references to that silly joke about wearing the Spurs shirt that backfired. If its like that when he plays well and we win, lets see the reaction when he doesn't and we lose. That's not being very even-handed is it?arseofacrow wrote:steveo - I believe that you are well off the mark in saying that people want him to fail. Nobody (except of course you) would be more pleased than me to see diaby produce on a regular basis and aid Arsenal in truly competing.
And vitriol? even-handedness.well, I believe you will find some of the first, and less of the second in some of your own posts on other players, whose names don't begin with D and end in Y.
Nobody abused him for jumping out of tackles. Just saying its a concern. Which it is.SteveO 35 wrote:Don't agree mate. I don't think I've ever got stuck into one of our players like that on the back of a handful of games. Eduardo was shit when he came back from injury and bottled every tackle but was given patience and respect. Likewise Ramsey - I was amongst the first to say that he needed time after an injury like that. Don't get me wrong, when you've done a Chamakh or an Arshavin and been consistently shit for 18 months, I will chuck them the abuse they deserve but not till then.

and now Baba and Red are an unholy alliance i prefered it when they hated eachother![]()
I presume McDowell and Baba are still trading blows?? Come on - some things must have stayed the same (other than my Abou worship)
Not True mate...I thought he looked real good just before that *word censored* broke his ankle in the game against sunderland - what 3 - 4 years ago?- Jeez time flies....anyway - I sincerely hope he does continue in the vein of excellent form...we need someone to Marshall the MF and if he is playing really well - then that benefits Arsenal and us. simplesSteveO 35 wrote:I'm convinced that the majority of people on here actually WANT him to fail. Honestly, I've never heard so much vitriol to one of our players.
As I say, when he's been fit for a whole year - like Chamakh, Denilson, Walcott, Almunia, Arshavin, Bendtner etc - then come back and rejoice in the fact that you were right. I know most on here are incapable of that and will be sitting there waiting to slam him at the Southampton game at the first sign of a misplaced pass.
Give the guy a break FFS. He was very good at Stoke and magnificent yesterday. Certainly better than anything Ramsey produced in 40 odd attempts last year.
Try being even-handed occasionally
Good to be back mate. I had hoped to come back to find Red declaring undying love for Chamakh and Fabianski and suggesting that Jenkinson be made captain so somewhat surprised to hear about his switch to the 'dark side'. Reassuring to find Baba in the same form as last season though. A little bit more love for Abou and this place will back to its former glorymcdowell42 wrote:SteveO 35 wrote:I can't wait to see this new alliance in full flow !!flash gunner wrote:Players should be judged after a run of games not just 3 whether thats good or bad youre right SteveO.

Stevo good to have you back.Redmember has formed an alliance with baba but hasnt told baba yetBaba and i havent banged heads yet think i will leave it until Kalou joins us or the scum finish miles ahead of us or till harry gets a job which shouldnt be long cos he was the best manager in the league last season according to some.He has been a pundit on motd of the day though so there is plenty of wanking material there for some.Diaby is king

Yeah I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Fuck that was frustrating to watch. I get that he's just coming back from injury, and that hesitation will always be there, but if you're back on the pitch that to me says he's ready to play - and getting "stuck in" is part of playing in England, like it or not.LDB wrote:I dont know if anyone else noticed this or if I imagined it but my concern for Diaby yesterday was the amount of tackles he jumped out of. At one point I swear he didn't fancy it against Sterling![]()
If anything its just going to get him injured again
