Re: European Cup - who do you want?
A mixed draw for me and could have been a lot worse. Bored of playing Olympiacos but might do Montpellier as it's uncharted territory for us. Will definitely do Schalke as germany is always a quality trip. If it's anything like Dortmund 2011, Munich 2004/ 05 (I forget the exact year) and the Cologne friendlies.

Re: European Cup - who do you want?
Hi James, I've had a look on there website as well._James_ wrote:French clubs charge more for Champions league than the usual league matches.
As Arsenal have not released details of the game in Montpellier I was browsing the Montpellier Hérault Sport Club website and they are selling tickets from €35 to €150. unless they put away fans in the top of the 3 tier stand it is probably €60-€65.
They will have to sell tickets fast when they do announce details as it is now 2 weeks until the game.
They're only selling 3-match packages for home fans atm. From what I've seen away fans are usually put in the corner of the Corbières tribune where it is 70€ for three games. So I would expect no more than 30€ for individual games...

Actually if you look there: http://www.mhscfoot.com/billetterie/informations it says "MHSC-Arsenal 35€" in the Corbières tribune
Re: European Cup - who do you want?
That would be good, much cheaper than Marseilles last year.Chips and Chocolate wrote:Actually if you look there: http://www.mhscfoot.com/billetterie/informations it says "MHSC-Arsenal 35€" in the Corbières tribune
Re: European Cup - who do you want?
As rip offs go, that was quite something. How they had the nerve to charge £70 to stand in the middle of a building site I have no idea_James_ wrote:That would be good, much cheaper than Marseilles last year.Chips and Chocolate wrote:Actually if you look there: http://www.mhscfoot.com/billetterie/informations it says "MHSC-Arsenal 35€" in the Corbières tribune

Re: European Cup - who do you want?
35€ for getting locked up by police in riot gear in a cage behind the goal is not bad either. Was there in '97, Cologne's last match in Europe...

Re: European Cup - who do you want?
1500 tickets at £33 a pop. Seems a little allocation for quite a big stadium like theirs, or maybe it's the club that asked for so few tickets

Re: European Cup - who do you want?
1,600 would be the standard 5% CL allocation, minus a few for segregation I guess...Chips and Chocolate wrote:1500 tickets at £33 a pop. Seems a little allocation for quite a big stadium like theirs, or maybe it's the club that asked for so few tickets
Re: European Cup - who do you want?
I hope so. I'm a Red member as well and I'm planning to go to Gelsenkirchen. Last year Dortmund went to Reds so I think we have a good chance.ElliotGooner wrote:Anyone reckon the Schalke away game will go on sale to reds? I guess without 20+ away points I don't stand any chance? Shame it would have been a good match to see.Dan_85 wrote:1,600 would be the standard 5% CL allocation, minus a few for segregation I guess...Chips and Chocolate wrote:1500 tickets at £33 a pop. I think we had 500 more in Marseilles last season and that didn't seem to sell out so is there any chance this goes to 0 points?

Re: European Cup - who do you want?
TBH I have booked plane,train....errr tram tickets & hotel for me & the boy & am sweating on whether our 20+ points will be enough....but may go out there anyway & just watch it in a bar_James_ wrote:I guess without 20+ away points I don't stand any chance? Schalke away for red members?
Not sure about the allocation but I really wanna go to this match as Veltins arena is one of a few stadiums in Germany I've never been to.
What's the allocation against Dortmund last time? Any tickets for reds?

Re: Schalke away for red members?
Last season all 3 games made it to red members, but I think allocations would have been bigger as Marseilles stadium is bigger than Montpelier and Dortmund bigger than Schalke.
I think Manchester City and United were at Schalke recently and got around 2,800 which is roughly 5% of international capacity 54,000 so makes sense. From here we were given around 2,500 for Dortmund but gave around 1,500 back, though loosing 8-2 in Manchester probably reduced demand.
With Montpelier being small and Olympiakos being small this is the best chance for red members to get a ticket.

Re: Schalke away for red members?
You reckon? I would be surprised if we sold out Olimpiacos what with it being the 3rd year there, last group game and at christmas time._James_ wrote: With Montpelier being small and Olympiakos being small this is the best chance for red members to get a ticket.
I think Montpellier might go to red, there doesn't seem like much demand for it in the ticket section. Schalke though looks like it'll do well to reach red what with it being Germany and being relatively straight forward to get to with low cost carriers.
Thinking of it when was the last time a European away didn't go to red that was abroad? Last i remember was AZ Alkmaar and that was a good few years now.
Re: Schalke away for red members?
Olympiakos is a gamble as if the game means anything it will sell faster, but yes we probably won't sell that game out, lots of extra tickets goto supports clubs in Eastern Europe to boost attendance. I want to go back and see Arsenal win there for a change and Athens in December is better weather than London.goonermarc wrote:You reckon? I really hope Montpellier goes to red members as I have a season ticket with 1 away point, not much higher than red membership, so that would mean I get a ticket.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Schalke goto red members as although Germany is easy to get to, Schalke does also require travel across Germany. I can see a 2nd coach being put on to Schalke though as I think this will be popular.
I cannot remember a group game not going to red members since, but did Barcelona in knock out make red members both times?
