ADIDAS OUR NEXT KIT SUPPLIER

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not connected to Adidas rumour but

Next season will mark 100 years of Arsenal in the borough of Islington, since the ground move to Highbury in 1913, so be prepared for a special anniversary kit launch to celebrate the fact.

I will never, ever get to visit Highbury.

You have no idea how sad it makes me.

Be happy you guys got to experience it! If it makes you feel any better! :barscarf:

Agreed, Adidas kits are vastly overratted. Chelsea have had one of the ugliest sets of kits for years with Adidas.

Too much white been on the Arsenal kit for too long and white stipes on the sleaves will make that worse. Maybe its the kit you grew up with that sets the standard. My favourite Arsenal kit is still this one:

A classic  And we always look so much better red socks!!

I quite liked our Adidas days, especially the first two styles both home & away. Bring back great memories too.

I do agree the socks should be red.

I'm a fan of hooped socks. I think Nike will pay what the club wants and stay, if we have similar offers, we'll probably stick with what we've got due to some dull sense of the right thing to do.

that IS a nice kit, but in general umbro shirts are fucking awful (see: every england kit).
nike used to be good until they just started coming up with a generic template and shoehorning every teams' kit into it regardless. saying that, i like the last 2 seasons' home shirts, and this one is growing on me the more i see it.
adidas would be my prefered make, but like clash said, maybe it's the kit you grew up with that you always love the most

Now that we've got the Moroccan Lee Chapman can we finally reproduce that vintage green and blue effort from 1982/83

As u well know that kit looked mustard on our darker skinned players and shit on the paler ones !

On another note I feel it will be great to celebrate 100 years in Islington by wearing the Borough LOGO on our sleeves or something similar.
Islington is where the bedrock of support has come from for many years and despite rocketing house prices which have forced many out, plus a dwindling stock of council houses increasingly given to those with no link to the Borough whatsoever ,it remains a very large part of our support !

Bonus point if u can name the man on the left !
PS Steve fcuk me it's umbro !
