City / Citeh Drinking and match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

2-1 to the Gunns.
Although i'd be happy with 0-0.

if offered a draw right now i would run all the way back to london

feel positive but can't bring myself to say we'll win, after all arsenal have done to me in the past few years :(

what would you do if you were offered a win?

I think a draw is the least we should be expecting if we are wanting to challenge this season.
City' s defence is currently a shambles and as long as ours holds together I would have thought a win would be possible.

i'm sensing cautious optimism here. which is not bad seeing as we are away to the Champions.

i hope we're not all delusional

Hope he don't go like for like in midfield with Yaya vs Diaby will get destroyed ! I think Santi and Arteta with Pod & Gerv are the key but may need Ox or Coquelin to give Jenkinson extra cover.

Feel we have a chance and our counter attack could be great for away games. May come down to us being able to break teams down at home. If we want to challenge and better luck with injuries.

A boring 0-0 would be fine, really.

Same squad as midweek. Szczesny is still out injured and will miss 2-3 weeks. Same starting XI as Montpellier? Or does the Ox come in for Giroud?

At least we have options.

I just feel we're going to get something. We nearly did last year and we were crap.

I think Ox needs to start this one, show Clichy who’s boss. Can’t see Giroud getting a start, Lescott and Kompany will have him in their pockets, he's too slow and predicatable, would definitely prefer Mophead up there again, his pace and movement will really stretch City’s defence, they are not rock solid like they were last year and our pace and trickery in midfield will expose them, guaranteed chances, just hope we put em away!!...We should line up like we did against we did against Liverpool just without Giroud. Just hope Yaya has a bad day, he's their main threat, Verm and Kozza should have what it takes to keep Tevez and Aguero quiet, I'd be slightly concerned if Mertersacker starts though...What does everyone else think?

Really looking forward to this one, I think we'll just sneak a win 1x0 or 2x1!!

you don't change a winning team... but i have a horrble sneaky feeling that AW will put avoiding the loss above having a real go at them and we might see OX or Giroud dropped in favour of Coq or (shudders) Ramsay.

personally i like OX in this midfield with Santi, Arteta and one other - it has a nice balance and rotation and protects the back four. I still don't see a place for walcott who looks lazy in comparison.

i'm still sticking to my 3-2, pod, forehead and a late winner by Theo.
