City / Citeh Drinking and match thread

If we had a striker we'd have won this by a couple.
Oh yea - its the boards fault we bought a striker to sit on the bench.

Overall delighted with that performance.
Gervinho worked hard but his touch let him down on more than one ocassion unfortunately. Bit worried about our options upfront for the whole season.
Full backs were class and was impressed with Ramsey to be fair. Cazorla is a magician bit man of the match has to be Mert.
A game we should have won which is not too bad considering their home record.

Am getting to like this team.

Potives: good spirit shown. Point is good, played well for many spells.
Mertesacker very good. Cazorla exceptional. Arteta decent. Koscielny excellent. Jenko good.

Negatives: Gervinho staying on 90 minutes.
Complete lack of cutting edge in attack (which is what happens when you sell the best striker in the league to Fergie and Nasri to Citeh etc. £48 mil right there in profits btw).
A £13m striker on the bench and clearly not rated or trusted enough by the manager.
Poor, predictable subs by a clueless, lazy manager.
Zone marking  WTF.

GOALKEEPER.

Last time Arsenal had a suitable number 1 was 2006 in Lehmann.
That's a fucking joke.

Overall another very good performance.

Open, end to end game made it good to watch.

Frustrating lack of end product from us. Some things obviously don't change.

A top quality striker would surely love to be part of this team. Need Giroud to find the net. Forehead is not the answer. I would rather see Feo getting a chance up front.

Carl Jenkinson shows little fear of playing at this level and is rapidly improving. Probably his best game for us.

A point off the champions away from home is not a bad result.

only two teams had managed to get points from city in their last 31 home games (and none won), so we have to accept it's a good result, even if forehead should've won it for us. he is NOT a striker and still CANNOT finish, but i have to agree that his movement off the ball as a false number 9 makes the job to mark him harder than what one would imagine.

mannone can't and never will learn to get out of his goal, it's why he is not good enough for 2nd, 3rd or any other choice as an arsenal goalkeeper. we still need an experienced backup for szcz.

still, we defended like a real football team, created some chances, and mertesacker, jenko and koscielny were excellent. arteta and cazorla good as usual.

in my opinion vermaelen is, believe it or not, our 3rd best centreback and i'd keep him benched in the important matches

Am feeling it BR.
There seems to be a spirit there that we have lacked before and there seems to be a lot of people willing to step up when the chips are down. Leaders all over the pitch. I hope they keep developing as a team as some of our play today was superb.
