City / Citeh Drinking and match thread

He is also very useful to have on the bench as a right back option.
Ox is a contender for central midfield, AW said it last week.

I agree about Eastmond and Frimpong. imho, frimpong is another pennant or bentley waiting to happen.

Lets check the usual wenger performance/habits from yesterdays game -

1. Waiting for the 70th minute to make a substitution........check

2. Failing to see how utterly shit his latest african signing is........check

3. Showing loyalty to his latest money grabbing mercenary (walnut) by bringing him on ahead of more loyal, but crucially better, players........check

4. Taking off the only player in any type of goalscoring form (podolski) despite being 1 down at the time........check

Despite all this we have some braindead fans who continue to sing "one arsene wenger" - I have a word to describe these "fans" but if I use it a ban would be heading my way at pace  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:  :cussing: :cussing:

We should have won. End of. Outplayed them in the first half and the fucking Klingon should have had two. :banghead:

We played well as a team, but Jenko really worries me. He makes alot of unforced errors when defending. Going forward he looks pretty good and has a bit of pace and a decent final ball but defending he gets caught reacting too often, he doesn't anticipate or try and channel the oppo into where he wants them. At one point he turned his back flat on and the oppo player just dropped the shoulder and came inside, leaving Jenko for dead. Schoolboy error. But he's young and learning and because he is a Gooner from a Gooner family I really hope he makes it at The Arsenal. 8)

The zonal marking worries me. And it (along with Mannone) was responsible for their goal. I've always been a believer in touch tight (oo-er matron  ) man to man (steady HashKads! ) marking.

Pod's work rate is incredible and he really has a first class touch. Cazorla too is immense. Delighted for Kos, he fought for everything and deserved his goal. Great player.

One thing that struck me was Mancini showing what a good manager does. We bossed the midfield in the first half so what does he do? He takes off the weakest player at half time and brings on a stronger player to shore it up. A TACTICAL change??!!! WTF??!! Wenger would NEVER do this.

Still most of us would have settled for the away point. But it's a bit dissapointing not to have won.

Lol - great minds and all that. I agree with all of the points you've raised mate and I was sat there actually predicting it as it unfolded. I had my father in law round who is a Man Ure fan and he was saying at half time how Wenger needed to bring on a striker to which I replied "not before the 70th minute"......what happens next - tracksuits off on the 68th minute and take to the field at exactly that time......AGAIN !! And who was it to make way - surely Gervinho - nope lets take the contrary view like he did when he subbed the Ox against the Mancs last year, and take off Podolski

I think I've said enough I about how I feel regarding Walcott representing the club. When we had 3 top quality players in Fabregas, Nasri and RvP that wouldn't commit to the club we sold them to the highest bidder before the window closed....so why the fuck are we stuck with the useless, greedy little over-rated shitebag Walcott that doesn't want to be at the club??

Watching how the away end erupted on MOTD when Kos equalized was a sight. Absolute fucking carnage!

no question about it now.

The Arsenal FC away fans are the best in the country.

I have never done an away match. Can you sit where you like?

coq has deputised well in two games.
Agree that Eastmond is not good enough, cannot understand why he was not sold this summer?

Frimpong is anyone's guess?
Two successive ligament injuries plus a competitive yet suspect temperament could result in any extreme.
At best a box-to-box Arsenal regular in the mould of Michael Thomas; at worst an underachieving hothead and Twitter regular in the mould of Leon Knight.

But I rate Coquelin.

Sensible cool headed lad who tackles neatly and passes sensibly, good work rate and positional discipline.

Think he is already worth his squad place and by the end of the season I see him as one of four main regulars worthy of competing for the three central midfield places, along with Cazorla, Arteta and Wilshere; all be it that he would play deep midfield whereas the other three are more flexible.
He is also very useful to have on the bench as a right back option.
Agree with Quartz here. Eastmond obviously isn't good enough, hence why after having a few games about 3 years ago he's not played since. Frimpong obviously has some major issues with his fitness, and even when he's fit I just don't know if he has the right mindset to play a disciplined role at a football club like Arsenal. I know he's young but that sending off against the Mousers last year was moronic. He does have some talent though so I'd like to see him play a few games, particularly if Nasri is lining up on the other team.

I like Coquelin, not a terrible footballer and seems good positionally and in the tackle. Was a bit wayward first 10 minutes against Southampton but then I thought he settled into the game pretty well. He was thrown into a shite mess of a team with an undefined role at WHL and OT last year and despite awful team performances he was our best player in both games. May well turn out not to make the grade but I'd like to see him get a decent run of games under his belt.

Cause hes shit mate and not Prem League standard.
Sadly that is the only answer to that question.

Absolutely...well 'we' can but as it's your first time I would suggest getting used to the away rules...so You need to sit in the middle of the oppo's fans and when we score jump up screaming ..

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! GET IN THERE YOU BEAUUUTY!"...Then tell those around you - their team is utter shit!...
