Stansted Express ??

Post by Peeman »

I usually use Gatwick but thinking about using Stansted for Olympiacos game. Do you have to pay for a tube ticket when u get to Tottenham Hale or is it included in the train ticket :?:

Depends on what sort of ticket you purchase at Stansted. Just dont ask for a point to point return between Stansted and Tottenham Hale otherwise you will need to purchase a separate tube ticket to THOF.

You can get a return to F Park for £22.60, or a Travelcard (includes bus, tube etc) for £28.

Use this website. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

Last time I went via Stansted , I went to ticket desk at train station in Stansted, explained where I was going and got a return train/tube to Finsbury for £22. The guy working at the desk went to great lengths to explain that if I tried using the ticket to go elsewhere in London I could be in trouble.

What time is the flight landing at? If you have time to spare you could take the bus to Liverpool St. £14 return. According to the website it takes 55 mins. I've never used it so I don't know how accurate that journey time is. The cheapest place I've found Stansted Express tickets is Ryanair http://www.ryanair.com/ie/airport-transfer

Did it once. NEVER AGAIN. Took nearly an hour and a half because of unspecified "delays". :banghead: And every second fucker on it was lamped and/or hungover, the fucking stink of that bus still haunts me...

Thanks everyone.

I went with what I know best - gatwick. It's only about £12 for adult and £1 (I don't know how ) for a child return to finsbury park.

Another great team performance last night. COYG :barscarf: :barscarf:

The problem with the bus service is that it brings you directly into the centre of London so who the fcuk wants to go in that far just to turn around and come back out half the distance ? :? Ever since the stanstead express let me down twice last season I have been wary about flying to there and went to gatwick instead but the flight times after the game are much better from stanstead. I generally get day return to finsbury pk and use my oyster card from there

There is also a bus that goes to Stratford and it's then only a few stops to Highbury and Islington.
