The only thing I have to say is why the fuck was Mertesacker dropped?

If Mertesacker had played and had a 'mare then everyone would be saying that Per was back to his normal self and why aren't Kos and Verm playing cos they have been our best CB pairing. Whatever happens the armchair managers think they know better.

This is just a symptom of lack of investment in the team and a lack of consistency on the pitch. AW has always bought too many attacking midfield type players and not actually gone for "right player in the right position" with a strong spine to the team.

I fear that quality players like Cazorla and Podoldski will quickly be found out and they will start to look average and lose heart (look at AA23) because of the way the team plays and the lack of quality around them.

Latest spin from the Arsenal website is that the DM position is old hat and we don't need one - all the team defend. Gibbs is also saying the boss has told him to get forward. Typical Wengerball tactics.

Fair points but on Mertesacker surely the feeling is that the defence was doing well, especially Mertesacker, and that he could have left it as it is. Sure, if oscar and hazard had run rings around him, then some would've asked why a more agile pairing weren't played. But it seems Mertesacker brings a lot to the whole defence and why change something that's working? The general balance of the side which played against Liverpool looked good to me but unfortunately with the clueless Gervinho up front, what chance do we have? He scored a very nice goal and if you honestly had the feeling that he was capable of this consistently then you'd probably accept everything else about him, but I doubt it.

Have to say, yesterdays visit to Emirates once again proved to me that club has lost its soul. From banners with 3rd rate philosophical messages such as "Nothing is too difficult for the brave" or my new favourite, Arsenal Macedonia's "We belive in Arsenal" which of course contains huge print of AWs face I could not escape feeling that I was visiting some massive CULT. As for those piercing eyes that were stabbing me every time I dared to mention that Gervhino or Ramsey are playing below standard required of Arsenal players, less I say the better.

Unfortunately it never seems to work for long enough these days.

Look at Ramsey, Ox, Feo, Diaby, Gerv, Arshavin, Kos, Chesney, Rosicky. They blow hot and cold and it is incredibly frustrating watching "potential" every week for the last seven years.

I don't expect perfection every game but we need to improve the consistency and reliability. The higher than average, longer than average injury problems really don't help either.

RvP finally showed some consistency last season and the only other player that stands out for me is Arteta.

Augie get used to it mate, we are in a period of transition and we all know that there is no way of knowing how long these transitional periods can last. If the other premier league teams finally agree to implement financial fair play rules, then surely we will have a chance of finally justifying our refusal to spend money when needed and that has to be as good as a trophy Meanwhile unless you have photographic evidence of said beauty with big tits, then sorry mate, rules is rules and without them, she didn't happen.
