You say he runs & runs but to me he doesn't look capable of lasting 90 minutes and fades badly in the second half of games. I also think the lad should be scoring some goals, when he first broke through he looked to be a player in the Lampard mould making late runs with excellent shooting technique. This seems to have disappeared from his game for whatever reason which is a shame.

1. He's a Central midfield player so why play him out wide? two massively different positions

My view is that Ramsey is OK for the three attacking midfield positions, but not for the two deeper more defensive ones.

His strength is making runs into the box (as LDB points out), his weaknesses are patrolling the centre of the pitch, intercepting passes and marking, so he needs to be used in a position that plays to his strengths.

I think on current form he can be used as a sub, but fear he will go on loan next season as Miyaichi and Campbell return from loan and as Yennaris, Eisfeld and Gnabry push for places.

He had a blinder at Man City last week. Still very young and learning his trade but an exceptional talent. I see him as a potential future Arsenal captain.

He gets the most abuse where I sit in the clock end along with Gervinho (there's some odd views on him)

I also read several forums, twitter etc and again his name always crops up the most when we have a bad game.

I will judge him at the end of the season, that's given him 2 years to prove his case.

I also take the point about him fading in the second half/latter part of the game. I agree fully with this, and his fitness has to get better soon.

Worse than Chamack, Squillaci, Park, Djourou, Denilson, Bentdner? Your opinion isn't worth much on your side of the pond anyway.

Whether he is from Tarrytown or Timbuktu he can have a valid opinion but have to say I agree there are many worse than Ramsey, and you can add Eastmond to that list.

Just read the Diaby thread if you want to see abuse mate. Mikey's last comment is a prime example. Not sure I've heard "fuck off wanker" thrown in Ramsey's direction yet

I'm not going to bite though

I do think the abuse Ramsey gets is totally unjustified. As is all the stick Diaby gets when he hardly ever plays so people calling him s**t is just ridiculous  :banghead:

Ramsey has had good prefrmances which are forgotten too easily. I thought he was excellent against City in a position which he shouldnt even be playing in and yet people still make out thats his fault too  and he does work hard which cant be said of many players in our squad so i would rather abuse was heading their way

I understand people getting frustrated but i do feel the way we treat our players sometimes is wrong

Quartz, he lives 4000 miles from Highbury and says Ramsey is the worst player in the squad, which suggests he doesn't know much about the others! Therefore his opinion cannot be valid.

Ramsey was excellent against City and awful yesterday. I think the jury is out on him. To say he's the worst player in the squad is beyond belief - as Quartz has pointed out, just take a look at Eastmond next time he plays. My issue with Ramsey is that I'm not quite sure what he is - is he supposed to be the box-to-box dynamo, a CDM or an attacking creator. I hate to use the term 'utility man' but that's what I see him becoming. I don't doubt the lad's workrate at all. I think he works harder than most. He just probably isn't ever going to be top, top level but he won't be alone in our present squad in that regard
