Nobody can blame Almunia for staying the extra year, every one of us would have done the same. It was a ridiculous contract to offer him.

The ironic thing is that we're now playing Mannone who is even worse than him... you couldn't make it up really...

And that was my point all along with Almunia. It was all very well getting him off the payroll and all very well saying he wasn't good enough for Arsenal......but we're still stuck with Flappyhandski and the Mannone-cokey - both of whom I wouldn't deem worthy of a squad place at Crawley Town

He only did what anyone would do, but it surely makes sense then not to give in to players like Walcott.

Our wage bill compared to the lack of success on the pitch is frightening

Thereby paying Walcott £100k a week does not a better player make.

Just goes what a fucking bumbling, idiotic senile fool Le Fraud is. A moron who rewards mediocre players with handsome pay packets but declines those deserving of it a wage they deserve. Wenger, the fucking stupid wanker who has supplied his rivals each with world class players (Cole - Chelsea, RvP - Man U, Nasri - City) because they demanded "too much money", the same idiot who then goes and gifts substandard fucking shite like Almunia and Denilson £60k+ a week.

At the end of the day we're not as hamstrung as we make out on wages. Total spending on salaries rocketed YET AGAIN this year, putting us not far off United (particularly considering they normally pay out significant trophy-related bonuses). We are much closer to what United pay their players overall (including over £200k/w to Rooney and RvP presumably on not much less) and pay about 33% more than Spurs (correct me if way out), yet we're far closer to Spurs. What's crippling us is a wage "structure" that ensures that underperforming and injury-prone players are rewarded with handsome long-term contracts while preventing us from attracting the top players. At the end of the day RvP is a huge *word censored* but it makes me angry as an Arsenal fan that his wages were being eaten into by the well-known culprits.

\Christ this really really annoys me, we could buy 2/3 top class players for the amount of crap on our books.

Sums Arsenal up the last few years. Wenger has become too blind to his own beliefs.
