Gazadis on £2.15m for 2012 . . .

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

His wages look obscene compared to what us common folk are on BUT If it's the going rate, then fair enough I guess. That's football.

As much as he's a wanker and a microcosm of what is wrong off the pitch at AFC, that doesn't seem like an unreasonable salary for a Chief Exec of a company with a turnover as big as Arsenal. Face it, he's doing the job he was installed to do very well.

So what delights can we expect in return for this? A Herbert Chapman water slide from the clock down into the armoury? Red-dyed lager & gourmet Herbert Chapman Pies, made with truffles grown in the soil where his ashes were scattered? A Bat-Signal-inspired light that projects Feo-Feo’s initials into the sky 69mins into every game to summon him off the bench? A hologram projector that beams a 3d image of a 'real' fan on to every empty seat so the official attendance figure really is really real? A travelator in front of the west stand so Arshavin doesn't actually have to run when he's warming up along the touchline? A daily musical parade of legend-themed mascots across Ken Friar Bridge led by a papier-mache Eboue?

One can only wonder at how magical the Arsenal Experience is going to feel now. :barscarf:

In all seriousness, I dont know what the going rate is among Gazidis' equivalents at other clubs. And/or what he is/isn't really achieving behind the scenes as per his actual remit. Guess it'll be 2014 before we know for certain whether he's actually been laying some effective groundwork to negotiate the new deals or whether it's all been nothing but pr guff. Seems like quite a leap from what I remember him reportedly being on when he was first appointed though - about a million or so plus 'bonus'? :?

Wow so it's actually gone UP significantly from when he first joined! Good to see that the club that 'pays no dividends' is continuing to ensure that all the incompetent sycophants responsible for overseeing a period of 8 years of bollocks, are getting perpetual salary increases! And they call the banksters greedy :censored: ....

'Arsenal is the most ambitious club I know'
Errrrm, hey incompetent baldie, Arsenal is the ONLY club you know! Unless you're talking about all those MLS giants you worked with?

Still. Now at last we clearly see why this man, whose wages have gone up by over half a million pounds for 2012, wants Wenger to be awarded that new deal. Just like all the overpaid shite we award silly lurative contracts to, the idiocy extends to the manager and CEO.

Arsene FC = Rewarding injuries and mediocrity since 2006.
 :banghead:

I for one cannot wait until we renew the commercial sponsorship contracts in 2014. Seems all the AKBs have their new excsue lined up, since along with FFP, those new sponsorship contracts are going to PROPEL us!
Imagine how Nike, Adidas, Sony, BMW and co are all going to be ripping each other apart to sponsor a club and manager that would have won nothing in TEN years - a whole decade!
WOW. And imagine all the top-class signings we will be able to make THEN hmm? I mean, we were told we moved to the Emirates to compete with the biggest clubs in the transfer market but our cash transfer facility of over £80 million is untouched.

I think Arsene and Ivan are waiting for our commercial deals in 2014 then we will add to that £80 million pot, making it £280 million, which will FINALLY be enough to sign that huge mega-star Arsenal fans have been craving.....

MAPOU YANGA-MBIWA MATUMBOLELE DIAKITE CISSE RENOI OBPINGOWE BAWONG.

The latest amazing Franco-African super-talent from Ligue 1, the 'new Tigana', a bit like how Giles Sunu was 'the new Henry'. (Sunu can now be found working in a supermarket in Lorient, check it)

Unless you're referring to "AKBs" elsewhere then the only person who's mentioned 2014 on this thread is me. I made no mention of new commercial deals propelling us anywhere or of the current deals being the reason for the quagmire we're in (giggedy) – for clarity, they're not. I also think Wenger's time has long since come and gone so unless AKBs stands for "Arsene, Kick the Bucket son" (figuratively, not literally of course!) then no idea how that would apply to me. Although perhaps Wenger was right after all when he said Sunu was "super quality" - I bet he cuts a mean slice of roquefort on the dairy counter.

I wasn't actually referring to you in particular so apologies for not making that clear! I am actually referring to the band of imbeciles who can often be heard saying 'the time to judge Arsene is when the new sponsorship deals are in, he has been hamstrung otherwise' (apart from that combined £34 mil he's spent on 'squad players' Santos, Gervinho and Giroud yes, poor Arsene!

Why did Kroenke take £25k, I guess it was expenses not wages. Also they seem to have paid 735,000 to run Arsenal TV.

Lots of the commercial deals will depend on our support overseas I think, of course success on the pitch will help this but so will the tours the club have started to do.
