If Wenger had any semblance of honor he would've resigned when being told that RVP will be sold to a direct rival.

So unless I'm wrong, that's the third match-winning performance RVP has put in for the Mancs.
Yet ANOTHER game those fucks deserve nothing yet will walk away with all 3 pts.
So he got the winner at Anfield, woke the Southampton game, a brace tonight and got them back in the game against Fulham.

At any other serious club, the fans seeing this happening - as the club sit idle on a stockpile of cash, having yet again dicked around in the transfer window; Wenger would fear for his job and security.
At Arsenal? His name is chanted!!!

Selling RVP to Fergie will forever go down as the day Arsenal FC became one big unambitious sham of a joke club.

I'm running a bet. So who fancies taking me up in this?

I am betting £100 per punter, that this season, Van Persie will score more goals in all competitions than Podolski, Emile Giroud and Chamakh put together. Who fancies it?

That's a pretty shit bet, mate. It's bloody obvious he'll score more if he stays fit.

But G88ner, Arsene and friends said we'd be getting more goals by replacing RVP with Poldi and Giroud! Apparently it was gonna make us "more dangerous as a team".
Anyone care to explain therefore why Arsenal sit below West Ham and WBA?
:rubchin:

Also, was RVP not "great business"? Selling an injury prone one season wonder and replacing him with two younger, hungrier attackers?!

Oh deary deary me. It's just embarrassing now. Actually it's beyond that.

RvP wanted to leave.

So we got good cash for him.

The replacement part of the attacking puzzle has yet to click, but it surely is too early to judge Giroud.
Gervinho I will judge at the end of this season; so far he reminds of Hleb, great approach play, erratic final ball.

I do not blame Wenger for Chamakh.
He was very good for his first four months, but something has happened to cause a drastic loss of form.
I cannot believe it is just football related, I think there has been a personal incident or problem of some sort.

So he wanted to leave? He still had a year to go on his contract. A lot can change in football within a year. He could've gotten injured and then changed his mind and signed the contract. With his contribution, we could've been sitting top of the league and the idea of signing a new contract would've been more attractive to him. Usmanov could've taken over and matched his demands.

Whatever it is, you simply don't sell your best player to Manchester Fucking United. PERIOD.

It's about a point of principle, are we a big club or not? Big clubs don't sell their top players to direct rivals.

It's clear that to the board and Wenger, money > ambition, reputation, standing, trophies, fans.

That is fucked up. No other club has a board as money-hungry as ours, that they would sell their fucking mother for a bit of cash. Honestly, I could see our board selling Wilshere to Spurs for the right price.

Usmanov In.

To be fair as sick as it makes me seeing him carrying them we couldn't have kept him. The slimy greedy wanker released a statement, which although may have contained some valid points, was highly unprofessional and disrespectful towards his employer and colleagues. Quite simply wasn't an option to force him to play us for another year, he had us by the bollocks.
