Carroll is going to cause us problems whoever plays at the back for us. We need to be well-drilled and prepared for long balls up to him and knock-downs to Nolan in particular. I would go with Per and Vermaelen as Vermaelen is most likely to make it difficult in the air for him and Mertesacker hopefully will be able to identify the potential dangers as he's done so well so far this year. Plus despite his improvements Kos still shits his pants if he sees a striker weighing over 12 stone and measuring over 6'2.

Mertesacker and Vermaelen for me.

I'm still furious with Koscielny  his "defending" on that first goal was as bad as it gets. I'm just amazed that he chose to wrestle with Torres and completely ignore the incoming ball. It's inconceivable that a professional defender could ever think that's the best way to defend a cross! :? what a plank!

He should never have been on the pitch in the first place though. Only an imbecile would have dropped Mertesacker after his performance at Citeh.

And the worst thing for me is that Wenger has sent out a worrying message that he's going to chop and change our centre backs all season regardless of form. It's going to cost us, I reckon. :( even when things are starting to look positive, he just can't help himself. SteveO's right... he's a self harmer. :(

3-0.

Carroll not to get a look in. Giroud to score 1st goal with a header.

re the shirt - knowing our board, it will be blue shorts, white shirt with blue trim.... :banghead:

As far as I know our 3rd kit is still the yellow with redcurrent trim we have had for a couple of years.

I love beating these *word censored* at their place and would love it even more now that they're managed by the Walrus looking tosser.

But back in the real world I fear we might get fucked over 2-1 because of our piss poor zonal marking. Carroll will thrive on that. Bastard.
Close the thread, 'nuff said.

Coming from that direction its a huge NO .
Canning Town itself is as pikey as u likey and it gets worse as u walk down the road .
Under no circumstances go near the Green Gate or the Castle and do not wander off the Barking Road once u are in Plaistow as the locals will eat you !
In short get some Pie and mash and a can of coke and shuffle quietly to the away end ~
Of course if you are armed with and AK 47 and have enough ammo you may do as you wish !
PS it will take u about 45 mins to an hour from canning town !

You would blend in very well over there with that plus having 8 earrings in and fake adidas samba's on your plates !
Always hated Burberry scarves ,haven't Bought anything Stone Island since about 2005 when I bought a very nice thick woolen cardigan which was the nuts gave all my Jackets to my son having carefully !
At 54 one has to maintain a more dignified look whilst still being stylish ,Hugo Boss raincoat and a cashmere crew neck ,armani jeans and a pair of good old churches loafers for this sort of game.
Personally I would drink in the Wakefield arms for this one but you have to be careful as they dont like interlopers and they do know their own .
