Re: Arsenal v Olympiakos
What both Babatunde and Red Member did was both against Forum rules and made little positive contribution to the Forum.armchair supporter wrote:I do not see Red as a WUM. As you say even the mods dont agree.QuartzGooner wrote:Some Mods felt Babatunde was a Wind Up Merchant from day one, others thought he was just an angry Arsenal fan.
So that is why he lasted so long.
Red Member was clearly a Wind Up Merchant, I never noticed that he offended anyone but it got ridiculous and trite with him so that is why he was banned; after a while it got tiresesome and disrupted threads.
It was VERY clear after the forum closed that "personal abuse" got you banned. Neither posters especially Red were guilty of personal abuse. Baba has in the past but recently has toned it down considerably.
Fuck me - banning for being an angry fan! Thats fukin every fan in the prem. (Except Red)
Afraid the Mods are out of order.
I keep saying it but I'll say it again - Threads were ruined because of posters constant insults, quoting etc to Red and Babas posts.
They just messed up threads and sowed dissent on purpose.
Red in an inane way; Babatunde in a more contrived and clever way but not clever enough.
And for the record, by last night none of the Mods felt Babatunde was an Arsenal fan.
As has been said by many, where was he on this Forum when we won?
Where was he when we were playing last night?
Watching another match!

In fairness, Reb may have made the kill but he's no lone wolf - it was a "pack" decision. Sorry, I've just watched 'White Fang'REB wrote:im the one who banned him so if any one has a problem with it then they can pm me.

Re: Arsenal v Olympiakos
My opinion is worth no more than anybody else's around here but imo red was an absolute wum - I know some found his musings as humorous but for me there were designed to provoke a reaction from those that do care about our club and are interested in having a decent conversation about it and tbh that pissed me off
As for baba, can I say that I did agree with a lot of his earlier posts but of late I have been questioning his motives especially last night when he admitted that he didnt watch the game but then proceeded to slate the performance anyway
The big issue I had with him though was the patronising nature of his posts and the way he mocked and talked down to other posters - we have all had bad days when we take out our bad mood on somebody else and I dont disagree with the suggestion that there was a certain amount of baba baiting going on, but at the same time I dont feel that either is a defence for the way he disrespected other members on here (not all members mind) on an all too regular basis. As I already stated, I have no doubt the redmember was purely a wum but with baba I am not so sure and I would like to know tbh
Can I also say that not all banning orders are an example of mods going over the top or power crazy as some seem to think - I dont mind admitting that I have had one or two warnings myself from the mods on here but I dont take it personally and feel that they are only doing the job that they are being asked to do (free gratis too) and seeing the forum shut down as a result of anarchy is not a viable alternative to me
