The man should be venerated for keeping the NF and combat18 filth out of The Arsenal.

-I never had the honour of meeting such a true gooner, and from the sounds of it a throughly nice chap, but from what everyone had said about him here he seemed like one of those larger then life characters you seldem meet on your journey, but its always a joy when you do.

Always remembered RIP Big Fella

Re: Five years on Friday
I sadly never met the man and didn't really know of him until he died
but everyone seems pretty fond of him. Could someone shed some light on why he was such a legend, aside from being a diehead Gooner? All I really know is that he was always looking out for the fans
RIP all the same.

RIP all the same.

Re: Five years on Friday
The warmth of the stories and the general sentiment regarding The Bear probably speaks volumes about what a nice guy he was (to those who were on his side!).
Would love to hear more stories. Has anyone ever compiled a little anthology of stories of their memories of/with Denton? Sounds like it would be a good read.
And my apologies for not saying it earlier, but RIP fellow gooner.

Thanks for posting this.
I never heard of the guy but he sounded larger than life and seemed to earn huge respect from people across a wide spectrum.
RIP.
