weekend games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If last week's weekend was as miserable as fuck, then Villa and Newcastle it is your duty to make this one perfect :barscarf:

By the way, I've just noticed that El Classico bollocks is on tonight - a prospect that no doubt has everyone salivating, watching 22 tossers surrounding the ref, waving imaginary cards and doing everything they can to get the other team down to 10 men. El Cuntico more like

Delighted to see Southampton grab a late equaliser - nothing against fulham but like the saints and can't believe there is tal of their manager being under pressure  The owners should bear in mind where they were when he took over and consider their place in English football and be grateful to be back in the top tier  For me it's a similar scenario to what has gone on at Blackburn - they had a manager who was doing very well considering the shit he was having to put up with and he suffered from being associated with venky's  For his sake I did want them to get promoted but now I hope their poxy little club with their 10 away supporters get relegated to blue sq :x

Maybe it's just me being less interested in other teams these days, but I hardly recognise any of the Villa starting XI anymore  :?

Aston Villa: Guzan, Bennett, Vlaar, Clark, Lowton, Holman, El Ahmadi, Delph, Albrighton, Benteke, Agbonlahor.

Hell, I can still name their team from the mid-90's (Spink/Bosnich, Staunton, Teale, McGrath, Barrett, Townsend, Houghton, Daley, Atkinson, Yorke, Saunders, at al...) - whereas now... :?

Never seen a team defend corners as bad as Newcastle today. Shocking.

Btw both teams from Milan are average nowadays.

I tend to find Italian games a bit too slow for my liking - Barca v Real will be endless attacking and emotion. Not sure the Milan derby will be quite as pulsating... still, I'll watch the second half once El Classico has finished 8)
