It's 'Give Us a Chant' Time Again

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just tiding up the current Giroud song with intros ...

We knew he'd score
La, la-la, la,
La, la-la, la,
Giroud

And there'll be more
La, la-la, la,
La, la-la, la,
Giroud

To the tune of my old man's a dustman:

Cazorla's bloody tiny,
He makes Arshavin tall,
At least the little Spaniard,
is fit and plays the ball!
Wenger signed him for the Youth Team,
and got a proper shock,
'Cos he's already twenty seven
and as Arsenal as our Clock!

Always thought the Que Viva Espana song the Spain fans sing would have worked well for Cesc. Might be worth it for Cazorla (or Arteta), gotta be better than the millionth reworking of Vieira's chant. Minimal words, familiar tune, relevant to the player, etc.

Either that or we could bring back Boomer's classic "on the ball" chant. :-P

That "on the ball" chant is the reason Boomer is dead and - erm, oops, sorry - has left the forum under his own free will and is alive. :|

Cazorla has a chant now. Not inventive but it still sounds good

Started last few minutes at wham on saturday

to the tune of emanuel eboooue (12 nation army)

"Ohhh Santi Cazorla"

Yup, it's the same chant the red Mancs use for van Persie.

Arteta's song is good but it's lifted straight from the Everton fans so I guess that's why it doesn't get heard much.

I don't know the Arteta chant?
we need good original chants for him and Santi (or one for both?)

I'll join in with pretty much any new song that's half decent providing its not another 'ever so witty' variant on he'll score/eat/drive/pay tax etc etc how or when he wants :banghead:

That song is driving me fucking nuts. Its like a modern day Stock Aitken and Waterman of the football world, where the tune stays the same and some halfwit slightly changes the words

It's just in vogue at the moment, like that cretinous "EASEH! EASEH! EASEH!" thing you heard a couple of seasons ago now.

In fairness there was some good banter at the West Ham game between the rival supporters, mostly about our respective managers, but yeah, 80% of our chants are varying degrees of shit.
