Presence outside a home game

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Presence outside a home game

Post by goonarmy »

What would everyone feel about before a home game everyone meeting up in pubs and/or outside the gound and having a gooner sing song, no point going to home games anymore unless you're lucky enough to get one of the few thousand alright seats with a bit of an atmosphere. Show the club the real fans and let them know that their attempts to completely take our club away from us and give it to all the prawns, corperates, JCLS, silent twats and all the other numpties that now occupy our stadium every game won't go completely unnoticed.

Where we'll be able to visibly show our support with flags and would actually be able to stand up and sing

Just testing the water to see if everyones as pissed off as i and a lot of other gooners are at having our club taken away from us.

so what do you reckon, don't have to miss the game if you have a ticket, it'd just give you a chance to be able to sing without the Orange bib brigade threatening to throw you out, and without some chappy from Surrey who turned up 10 minutes late telling you to be a good little boy and sit down in silence.

well.....

Petitions won't do anything tbh. The club will never take any notice of anything on the internet, only the money they make, let's not pretend however much we love Arsenal they don't give two shits about us. Since there's no point boycotting the match as there's just 2 spectators to every real supporter to take our place, at least it'd cost them in policing costs. Give something the Prawn sandwiches something to look at out of the window while supping their champagne. Make it impossible for them to to not ignore us for once.

New songs?

Whenever a late Arsenal winner goes in "HARK NOW HEAR THE ARSENAL WIN THE CORPORATES RAN AWAY AND WE WILL STAY FOREVER MORE BECAUSE WE SCORED SO LATE!"

cheers,

most other gooner forums are talking about it so thought i'd try and rally the troops on this one, see if we can get a decent amount of people pledging their themselves and their time

anyone else interested?

love the idea. i'm a silver member but i don't bother with home games anymore unless it's a really unpopular game like spuds in the carling cup 1st leg. the atmosphere is so shit these days and all geared up for the "matchday experience" for people who don't know anything about arsenal. even away matches are attracting too many newbies for my liking.

What about 30 mins before the Liverpool league game at Denton's roundabout and on the Armoury steps?

i was thinking before the Liverpool and at Dentons roundabout. The thing is gettin the numbers, i was gonna head down to the pub to watch the game there anyway. Will be in there drinking for a while before, gotta get in the chantin mood . Well gives 3 weeks to see what the vibe is, i'm just passing on the general feeling of the other forums, to see how much support we'd get
