which striker (left back and backup goalie) should we buy?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Move in our favour? Come on nobody seriously believes we're going to pay £45m+ for a player do they?

Of course falcao but we won't be paying that, but I don't see the point in keep buyin out and out strikers as they are not versatile enough, but for quality and January price would be lorente

looking for suggestions as well as rumours
I said I'd take Balotelli, not heard his signing rumoured
also not heard Holt, Lambert or Owen linked either but those are apparently examples of 'humour'

That's because even red-top sports journalists want people to think what they're saying could conceivably be true. Take your pick of any of the reasons below as to why it wouldn't happen

1) Mancini loves Balotelli.
2) He cost them a lot of money and they would undoubtedly be looking to recoup that (at least).
3) He is on astronomical wages.
4) He is an absolute lunatic and a huge liability.
5) City wouldn't be overly keen on selling a quality player to us.

Although I'd take Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta, Aguero, Hart, Ramos and Falcao if we're removing any sense of reality from the discussion.

You really are on the wind-up today aren't you.

armchair - if you don't like the thread why are you on it whining like a bitch?
whats your fucking damage? you really are a pathetic little child
don't likee don't readee
prick

northbank you seem to be misinformed on at least one of those counts
mancini has given a player you say he 'loves' hardly any game time at all this season
he has also publicly fallen out with him on more than one occasion
lots of rumours that Shitty want to ship him back to Italy and have let it be known he's available
I think you're right that City would rather not sell to us and his wages might be an issue
but stranger things have happened
they will probably have to pay him off if the rumours are true and they do want to get rid
maybe that means a lower wage package might be possible
