Weekend Intl Games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fucking hell the Irish got smoked tonight proper!

Podolski has now surpassed Beckenbauer with 104 caps after coming on tonight. He's still 27.

I hated Jack Charlton for his treatment of Liam Brady , but he had a game plan, horrible as it was at times the players bought into it. Charlton didn't always use his great players properly but he made average players think they were great players. Trappatoni seems disinterested in what is going on, he apparently would cost too much to sack so he stays.

I don't think so? Wasn't the pen earlier in the second half? Should still have been cautioned/sent off!

Nope that was the one that he earned and then scored a penner for.

Aside from his gimpish fucking mug, he's a key reason why I don't watch any other football.

Bale is a diving *word censored*, I noticed how BBC's match report said he was "clipped by Sean Maloney" when it was yet another shocking dive. As I've said, great players were tarred forever due to one or two dubious incidents yet this twat dives literally every week and not a thing is said.

That aside though, WE FUCKING WON :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: He might be a twat but he was a class above anybody else on that football pitch. Thought Ramsey had a pretty good game, fucking miles better than Allen and Ledley who are both seriously overrated.

Congrats to Ox - Englands 4th Youngest scorer after Lawton, Owen and Rooney.

take a bow son, take a bow....

Theo. oops. there goes that big contract.

on the bright side, Serge Gnabry might get a shot earlier than we thought and that means we can assess to sell or keep him earlier

i didn't see any injuries reported for pod, santi or per. France didn't play i think ?

bloody dutch left RVP on the bench. i don't remember that happening for us. ever. i do remember him playing injured many times. *word censored*.

That was the penalty dive. It happened on about 70 minutes I think. That clip must be of a replay.

The jocks also had a goal for 2-0 disallowed for no reason at all

Pen was on 80 minutes so it is a replay but only about 2 minutes after.

They did have a goal disallowed, was bizarre actually. Adam got slipped in down the wing and was a good yard offside, no flag. Whipped the ball across which was a good two yards from going out, and the lino flagged for a goal kick after Fletcher had headed in from a yard. Definitely one of those cases where two awful decisions evened themselves out given that they happened in the space of 5 seconds.
