Positive Press

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Positive Press

Post by supergeorgegraham »

Just read a few things here and there and Song has praised Wenger for making him the player he is and both international managers are seeing improvement in Cazorla and Podolski and comment that their move to Arsenal will improve them as players.
A year on from the dire state we were in last season its not too bad. I will also take this opportunity to state I did not think Jenkinson would ever make it at Arsenal. I am pleased to say I got that wrong.

I hear Wenger's lawyers are preparing a defamation suit. 8)

He has a long way to go before he has 'made it' at Arsenal

Yeah, have to agree. I hope and pray he does as it would be brilliant to have a proper Gooner lad become another Charlie George-type legend, but to say he has “made it at Arsenal” is a tad premature...

:coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit:

To be fair to Wenger, he did have precious little natural talent to work with in the first place, so the fact that in the end he got £15m for Song is in of itself miraculous and comparable to Jesus's turning of water into wine!! :barscarf:

Fuck that, Hlebby! It's comparable to turning liquid shit into a bottle of vintage Shipwrecked 1907 Heidsieck Champagne!!

True. Any more than any of our young players have "made it" just because they have broken into the first team. He is though developing far better/quicker than most of us would have ever thought possible.

He could even be making his England bow before the seasons finished..! Not bad for someone who was playing non-league so recently!

I agree he has done well but is a hundred miles from 'made it'

I retract the Made it section of my Jenks post. He is doing well and long may it continue. For the record I want Song back and Jenks to keep improving. Hope that makes more sence.
Glad Cazorla has MADE IT at Arsenal !

It does make more sense, but alas you went and spoilt it all by adding the bolded bit - and I'm afraid that doesn't make any sense at all!!

Exactly - when we were winning trophies under George we were 'boring Arsenal', then when we started putting Rednose's, err nose, out of joint they'd bring up "the 36th red card of Wenger's tenure" bullshit.

Lets win things and deal with the shit that comes our way - please !

I love it when the press hate us, which they usually do.

I love it when they lick Chelsea's arse for winning the CL with the whole British bulldog bullshit when in reality they won it by having a Russian owner with African players (Racist fans, funnily enough :rubchin: )

I loved it when they were considering "Them lot" as title contenders,

I really love it.

Don't let gunner_ace or Surrey Gooner hear you say that ! That was one of their finest nights in Munich :D
