Canaries V (what proved to be) the Arsenal light-weights

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I hope you're kidding.

after 15 months out, JW should be resting up at home after wednesdays run out.

Surprised Wilshere is in the squad, but our medical staff know what they're doing, so great news! :barscarf:

The last thing I want is for him to be rushed, but given that he's in the squad our revered medical staff and messiah obviously think he's able to stand up to the challenge of playing some part in a PL game, and I therefore hope he comes on in those circumstances because it means we've tied up the 3 points and gives him a chance for a short piece of real competitive football.

I thought they would have saved Jack's return for the Reading carling cup game

Don't worry Chunky, they will do. He might get on the bench tomorrow and Wednesday but I'll be very surprised if he comes on for more than a few minutes as a sub, if at all. Given that Wenger said Jack's about 80% match fit, Reading would seem the most appropriate match for him to get a proper run out in.

Agree. I think/hope he'll only get bout 5 mins if we're well up. :barscarf:

At least one gooner in the Norwich bit tomorrow. There's me not getting away tickets (again! - still what do you expect for my 2x£1300!) and the old man who's retired to Norfolk is going with a Norwich season ticket holder mate! Still life long gooner so get in there and enjoy it John boy!

4-0

what do you base that on ? :?

i hope his inclusion is symbolic. Have The Arsenal confirmed it btw ? - or are we still just relying on JW's agent.
