Oh dear

Utterly contemptuous 'performance'. Despicable capitulation against a poor side and we were deservedly beaten. Please Mr Wenger, take your handbrake and shove off.

once again our injury prone defenders - what a fucking joke

apart from Jenkinson, once again we have gone into a season with constant defence changes - Chezzy, TV5, Kos, BFG & Gibbs have all been in the team, then got injured

i can see another embarrassment at OT coming up with a defence of Mannone, Jenkinson, Santos, and between now and then TV5 or BFG will get ill or injured and we will have Djourou in there instead

why can't we go 10 games without a fucking injury

This was one of too many fucked up days following this group of players under this manager. This game unlike the West Ham one was lost when we conceded. We never looked like scoring until that utterly useless Gervinho waited an age with the one chance we got. I have hated, not trusted and not rated and many players in 40 years following Arsenal, he ticks every box.
Only Arteta in the second half and maybe Jenk came out of this with any credit today. I thought Vermaelen, not for the first time this season was awful, Santos is too slow on and off the ball. Keeper was at fault for the goal and it affected him later. Ramsey was awful, Cazorla wasn't great, Gervinho isn't even related to a footballer . Giroud tries but is lacking in quality. The young sub looked like a rabbit in headlights. Nice way to boost the lad, put him on to retrieve a situation that experienced players couldn't. Pod was also poor today. In reality we are so far behind Chelsea not just in terms of points and City haven't started to play yet. Talk of a title challenge goes out the window on days like this and the reality is horrible.
Why bring Jack and not bring him on ? It's not that he needs experience of the match-day. This was a passive defeat against an ordinary team. No excuse can be made for Norwich's style of play. No excuse for the International break . (the early game proved that). This team when it plays badly are going to lose most times. Compere that to City's last two away games at Fulham and WBA. This is a continuing failure of Wenger's teams since 2004.

Has Mr Wenger made a comment about this latest debacle as yet? I don't normally believe a word he says anymore, but I am actually interested in how he would explain this one away. As I saw it, they were hungrier than us for it (bar Santos who still looks slightly, err, 'big boned' :? )

Not quite the visionary mate - still thought we'd win 2-1. But I'm sure we are about to hear "credit to Norwich they defended very well"

Yes, you goon they defended 'very well' against one carthorse and five midfielders playing poor man's (sorry slow man) Barcelona in front of them - fuck me Bromley FC could defend 'very well' against that. People have referred to use as Barca-lite but if soft drink comparison's are your thing then its Barca Zero for me.

Real fans have real patience - go on Ivan, its surely time to announce that contract extension as we compete for the Europa Cup spot that Wenger so desires

on the defeat…
Norwich had a good defensive performance; they were focused and committed. We had a lot of the ball but did not create much with it. It was an illusionary domination. It was a disappointing performance on our side.

on the reasons for the defeat…
I felt we lacked a bit of sharpness. We tried to get into the game after 20 minutes. But we missed what makes the success at the top level - that is complete focus. And they were sharper than us.

Anybody think that bringing on Arseshavin and playing him on the left alongside Gerv thus having TWO useless C unts on the left was another example of Wengers tactical genius and ability to pull a result out of the fire?

highburyJD wrote:far as I'm concerned, this weekend Wenger can pick our #2 available player in every position
do his standard set-up/team talk (4-3-3, go out and have fun)
make pre-set subs (fresh wide forward/midfield legs on 70th min)
and we should win, easily. Norwich are dire.

If this gets fucked up IMO you blame the players not Wenger

I'll wait till our FA Cup KO where Wenger does the above
or CL 1/4 final KO (#1 player in each position) with same ideas
before I go after the manager

we have a (very) well paid squad of international footballers, no every Prem team doesn't - Norwich boys been in training all week. We should be able to go out and beat this lot irrespective.
You're an even bigger *word censored* than Wenger and thats saying something

Just like his substitutions, Wengers excuses in his post match interviews are all pre-prepared. :banghead:
