Gervinho

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But then he is top scorer..what more you want from a player who will watch Henry score for us in January
Doesn't the fact that a 'shit' Gervinho is top scorer say something about the state we are in?
Its fukin awful that Wenger has left us with glaring deficiencies at goalkeeper, defencive mid, striker. The spine of the team. Its just so glaringly obvious its unreal. :(

To be fair, rather than it being an era thing, I think it's Gervinho's hefty price tag more than anything else that brings added expectation.

Hayes never had that because he was a product of the youth team.

He is stains, complete piss.

He traps the ball farther than he can pass it.

If he played for anyone else you and your mates would openly take the piss out of him.

I dont think era comes into it. I dont think price tag comes into it. I dont think Martin Hayes comes into it.
Gervinho is poor - end of.
Lets not fall into the AKB trap of over-analyzing everything. Gervinho is poor. End of.

I think the less instructions the guy gets the better.

Am not sure whether he can chew gum and walk at the same time :?:

Just out of interest, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Lukas Podolski doesn't seem to like Gervinho? - he thinks he's a waste of space, I'm sure he does

Even when Gervinho scores, Podolski doesn't seem too pleased for him, whereas he loves it when others score.

Might be imagining it though...

He has eyes, he can see how bollocks the Mekon is. Probably stunned that the fraud plays for Arsenal.
