membership packs

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I don't care about the late sending of the membership packs. Wouldn't want to receive an official club handbook with that awful Van Persie smile in it.

I have a direct debit set up for the red 'lite' option as it's £26, instead of £33... What does the extra £7 get you?

Membership pack review and alternate uses......

Post by AFC(BSM)Jones »

So my (smaller) membership pack arrived this week and as usual I was like a kid at xmas opening it to see the delectable offerings Arsenal had to offer me this year. :gus:
Firstly I saw the postcards which, as I am a cheapskate, will be used instead of xmas card this year to be sent to my nearest and dearest.
The keyring, I actually quite like it......
The 2 books, I am sure they are great, I just skimmed through!!!!
And then I came to my very own AFC headphones, I was eager to test them out as they looked sooooo amazing :-?
Alas I was disappointed by the giant things that are supposed to fit in my ears. Maybe if I had ears like the BFG or Legolas from LOTR, they may actually fit. I decided to test the 'quality' out anyway as the packaging suggested that they were perfect for listening on Arsenal player (now I must say unless the commentary is not on 5live I don’t usually use the player, though so far this season that has been all bar 1 game, still I stream the commentary through my phone and onto my TV as it sounds much better than coming through my tinny laptop) anyway back to the point, I decided to listen to some music, this test lasted all of 5 seconds as I was annoyed by the buds rattling about in their plastic home. So onto the floor they went, much to the delight of my cats Gonzo and Nixon who are constantly trying to get at my average quality (£4) headphones.
This brings me to the question of alternate uses as they are obviously far too terrible to actually be used as headphones, though surely its sacrilege to desecrate them in such a manner as to feed them to my cats, or is it? They enjoy chasing the wire around the floor, but don’t actually bite at the ear buds. They actually look disappointed at the fact that I have palmed them off onto them, whilst I am happily still using my £4 pair, which they are still trying to eat. It must say something when my cats don’t want them!!
Is it just me being ungrateful to the wonderful people :hmmthink: (haha) who are behind the contents of our welcome pack, or is anyone else as disgruntled as I? I mean I would rather they were not included as they are utterly shite, and now I am torn over letting them be eaten or just put them away in a drawer never to be seen again!!

Got mine 10 mins ago, the handbook looks nice, and I will read "when Paddy got up" at some point.
The key ring is ok, not sure I will use the headphones but hey ho.

My package got delivered this morning, I'm quite pleased with the majority of the contents, though I think the cock ring will be a bit of a tight fit. The super lube and anal beads look quality but I am a little concerned that the rampant rabbit might be a little smaller than the wife is used to, variable speed setting and jack hammer mode should hopefully lessen her disappointment. Hand cuffs & cat'o'nine tails will be fun, if a little painful  Overall I'm very happy with what was inside, I just hope the Arsenal membership pack, when delivered is as good. 8)

I got mine,(for what it's worth).
When I phoned to ask where it was, they told me that the reason for the delay was they had to recall the packs to remove a picture of RVP.I don't know how true that is,but that was the "party line."

This is exciting! Got my membership back in august and swore they forgot about me. Now I'll be sitting at the window looking for the postman for the rest of the week.
