No excuses guys the team was just flat. I saw Chelsea fight to beat Spurs. We looked like we did not want to be there

Hugely disappointing result but I cannot understand the problem of them flying to this fixture. If we had won would this have even been mentioned?

We train at London Colney.
30 minutes drive to Luton Airport.
30 minutes check in.
14 minutes flight.
30 minutes get out of Norwich Airport.
30 minutes drive to hotel?
Would have taken longer by road.

and would be hard to predict exactly how long it would take in a coach
I have no problem with the team flying, my issue is they didn't turn up

Flight would not be an issue had we won. As in my previous post I still maintain the players we have at club now should be enough to rip a new one in canaries arse!!! Posters are looking past this obvious fact and worrying about private jets and missed transfer market dealings, we have a team right now who should not be getting turned over by a bottom of the league , religation bound make weight.
Wenger must take the rap for this shit performance, or do they players just not heed him anymore?

What can he possibly say that he hasn't said before in the last 6/7 seasons ?
The problem is that we are so predictble, that opponents can negate us and we haven't got any answer except to pitifully "retain the ball" as if that will magically get us a goal.
We need a couple of players to take people on, get a good delivery in, to actually attack with purpose, not just get up to the edge of their box and then work our way backwards to our own keeper to boot it to the halfwayline

I agree 100% with this - I was just thinking last week that if we had sagna and wilshire back then we would have as good a first choice 10 outfield players (not sure chesney measures up yet) as any team in the league but yet we turn in such an abject lethargical not interested performance against a team yet to win a league game this season

Away fans travelling to this game were aware weeks ago that the trains would not be running due to engineering works.
Unfortunately many supporters who do not attend away games (or even home games) would not have been aware of this and so yet again the lazy media headlines are lapped up by those who are unable to look or think any further.

Re: Canaries V (what proved to be) the Arsenal light-weights
Which means the club would have known and therefore had plenty of time to put alternative measures in place, like travelling the night before or the morning of the game. Unfortunately, by travelling by plane for such a short trip they have added to the impression that both on and off the field of play they are being unnecessarily pampered, without producing the requisite performances that justify it. You and others are right, had they won then this wouldn't have been much of an issue. Alas they didn't and thus have to take all the opprobrium that comes with performing in such a shockingly bad way, whether they like it or not!!hugh jardon wrote:Away fans travelling to this game were aware weeks ago that the trains would not be running due to engineering works....

The Plane thing is a non-story - we have played equally as badly playing at Home! The club have to make sure the team is prepared in the best possible way, they were, as im sure they are for all games - the papers will jump on it, but its a nothing story.
Saw that idiot from AST on Twitter moaning on and on and on about it, fanning the flames of a nothing issue. Slags off the club - but im sure takes any Hospitality from them that comes his way

Re: Canaries V (what proved to be) the Arsenal light-weights
they should have had a coach up the day before and stayed in a hotel/countryclub outside norwich. they should all be together the night before away games as club policy. maybe they stayed in a hotel the night before getting the plane.
all it means is they have less excuse for being sh*t. and it just seems a waste of cash.

Re: Canaries V (what proved to be) the Arsenal light-weights
Gazidis & co. told us recently they are waiting to see how things go when FFP kicks in.
But putting aside the debate of whether it will ever happen, what difference could it make to games like this one at Norwich? Games where the attitude and effort the team put in against inferior and less wealthy opponents is clearly inadequate.
I'll answer my own question - fuck all difference!
