THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

100%. Tomorrow. And have done for 4 years

A modern day GG, but more progressive. The best pound for pound manager in the league and would not stand for this devil-may-care approach that our current lightweights adopt

I'm not debating that, I know the feeling that we just need a change at all costs. But Moyes, really? Done a great job at Everton but negative, plays shit football and tactically very limited imo. Aside from that, for all the talk of doing wonders on a budget he did incredibly well to go so long without signing a good striker.

What did Graham do when he first came to the club? Made us hard to beat. Then he moved it on to the point where we scored over 90 goals in 1992

Moyes stopped the rot at Everton. Got them to 4th in 2005 - probably the best achievement in the last decade in the Premier League. The football was hard to beat first, entertainment second. He is now moving them on, and I repeat with NO money at all to spend, into a more progressive attacking side back challenging for 4th

I wouldn't mind but we don't even play entertaining football anymore. I used to defend Wenger on one last straw up until a couple of years back i.e. win, lose or draw its always an entertaining watch. But can anyone say they are enjoying the class of 2012?? I actually enjoyed England beating San Marino more than the shit I've witnessed in recent weeks
Predictable, slow, no strikers - is that 'entertaining football'?

What you're saying about entertainment is fair and probably agree with it but as I said, I'm not questioning Moyes vs Wenger, I'm questioning whether Moyes is really the best guy around should we somehow rid ourselves of AW.

I'm not going to throw out fashionable European coaches that I really know nothing about and who probably wouldn't come anyway because the truth is I don't know who I think would be best man to take over, but for me Moyes is a no.

If you're looking at teams built on a budget apparently City got hammered by an Ajax team with a transfer cost of 4.4m euros.

I was thinking more of a Real fans have real patience dinner and piss up. I think its going to be hilarious when he gets the contract extension - final confirmation if any were needed that Kroenke and Gazidis don't give a flying about the club winning a trophy ever again
