Gervinho

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Looks like a startled rabbit caught in the headlights whenever the ball comes to him. Like Theo it seems he is only effective when he doesn't have any time to think about things.

Tonight was his worst showing (and there have been a few contenders). Winterburn was right- he has the first touch of a rapist with a hooked hand and he even resorted to diving which he couldn't even do successfully (Im just surprised he managed to hit the deck as it was the only thing he hit all night).

The crowning moment for me was in the 1st half when when Santi played him in behind the backline he started running towards the TOUCHLINE letting the defenders get back at him and then lost the ball trying to cut inside which is what he should have done in the first place :banghead:

Lasts nights performance sealed it for me...Tried being patient, Forehead is not worth a cold carrot! :banghead:

Sometimes out wide he can be useful. As a lone striker he has neither the guile, pace nor intelligence and his
inability was brutally exposed last night, just another shit signing.

YES!!! this is exactly how I feel. I'm usually not quick to jump on guys but I'm tired of feeling like I am smarter then the manager. Sit this guy, I dont care who takes his place.

Useless - headless chicken light weight. No awareness, commitment, guile. Wenger is culpable hugely - playing him at centre forward!!! He's shit in his supposedly best position never mind the disaster that was last night.
