QPR

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyway 3 points giving us a massive boost for when we travel to Old Trafford and easily win with Giroud completely outshining Van the :censored: :barscarf: :barscarf:
How can that be a massive boost? We have played poorly and we should put QPR to the sword at home.

The Mancs might give us chances because they will take the game to us but we will need to move the ball quicker and take our chances.
I think you'll find he was being ironic aka taking the piss!

I'm a fan of Arshavin, I still maintain that his close control is some of the best you'll see. That said, he really lets himself down on effort & application. :(
Agreed but what about Podolski's lack of effort and application in recent games? He really has been poor

I would like to see Arseshavin as far away from Arsenal as possible. I think he deserves a good kick in the bollox.
Arshavin was forced to play out of position from day one in Wengers effort to cram as many attacking midfielders into the team. Whilst AA23 has to accept part of the blame the buck stops with the manager. He needs a kick up the backside maybe, but no more than that.

Arshavin has one of the best football brains in the squad and he hasn't been put to good use.
100% right....cazorla will go the same way as arshavin...fresh to the club, will put a shift in, then think hold up no-one else gives a fuck...so i'll coast along like the rest....because the manager by some accounts doesn't say anything at half time and prefers the players to work it out...it gives players the idea that thats how it is at AFC...no pressure, easy money...wenger survives the chop again

That was our big response to the last 2 apathetic performances? To plod around at testimonial pace until the last 10 mins? When was the last time we actually responded to one of our regular setbacks like a "wounded animal" in the way we're told big clubs are supposed to - taking the game by the scruff of the neck from the start & setting out as we mean to go on?

Jack was outstanding but for a kid who hasn't played in 15 months to be head, shoulders, knees & toes above everyone else says a lot.

Yet again, 70% possession with no real threat from that possession. We were crying out for width, Ramsey and Podolski kept coming inside and I know Ramsey's not a winger but surely he can just stay out there to at least create a bit of space in the middle.
Brilliant to see Jack strolling around again and getting through it unscathed. Arteta impressed as always as did Mertesacker in all fairness. I know he didn't have a lot to mark but he reads the game well and he should be permanently there imo.
Just something not right at the moment. The ball's not being pinged around quickly enough and nobody seems to be making the move up top for someone in the midfield to put the killer ball through to.
I know a win is a win but I came away not exactly brimming with confidence.

Started brightly but quickly descended into the pure horsehite that we have seen far too often lately

Unlike some I thought that Ramsey did ok today but without doubt our best performers with the returning sagna and wilshire plus (my player of the season so far) arteta 8) Delighted that AA set up our goal and still believe that he is streets ahead of the forehead and walnut although tbf that wouldn't be hard

The left side of our defence today was woeful but that includes tv5 IMO - their best chances came with balls in behind him and his pathetic effort at tackling mackie at the end almost cost us 2pts

Where do wego from here though ? Three utterly shit performances and the next league game at old shatford doesn't look encouraging does it ? As bad as the players were performing at least they were failing through a lack of collective ability but now it looks like they have given up altogether :( Is it wrong to think that a beating up there next week might be best for us in the long run ? Surely somebody in charge has to see the need for changes eventually ? Btw was the silent owner there today ?

But with the match now over and done very few would see this and the opportunity to vote. Otherwise I would have simply put it as a post on the QPR thread. simples :D

Yu really have a problem with other people (than yourself) starting threads don't you.

If you look at my reply to your post on the MOTM thread, you might understand why I started that other(QPR) thread...I said 'Might' ...there again :

a) I shouldn't have to explain

b) feck off! :D

those praising jenkinson, relax. sagna showed today why he is much better than jenkinson is right now. though i would have played jenk or kos at left back instead of fatty.

ramsey  like always.

would rather see arshavin than ramsey OR gervinho. and he may now get a run with gervinho looking hurt. as far as i can tell its a good thing either way with arshavin starting because we'll get to see if he has anything left to offer, or if he doesnt and we know for sure to get rid in the jan transfer window.
