Heard that Gazidis was meant to do a half time presentation on the pitch, but bottled out of it after yesterdays AGM

Shit performance and an offside winner but desperately needed win in the bag. Great to see Jackie boy back, he's different class.
Also, always enjoyable putting one over Leslie Mark 'Sparky' Hughes. Twat.

Was he actually offside? Couldn't understand the fucking Oirish commentators on the stream I had! Thought the guy tracking Arshavin might have played him onside? Didn't have the will to watch MOTD thoughofficepest wrote:Shit performance and an offside winner but desperately needed win in the bag. Great to see Jackie boy back, he's different class.

Ah well, good, Hughes is a *word censored*. I'm sure we'll get more than our fair share of shockers next week anyway.mcdowell42 wrote:northbank123 wrote:Was he actually offside? Football was shit today but the result was good. I had a great day, thoroughly enjoyed myself and wish I had met a few more old friends, maybe next time. Got home sober which is a first for many a year

Re: QPR
Abysmal performance but we got the 3 points who cares. Le Fraud lives to see another week. The board will be happy about Jack's comeback as well; if he carries on from where he left off today, who knows, they might make a shedload off his eventual sale.

Re: QPR
17 moon out injured and Jacky boy is able to perform head n shoulders above the whole midfield, the lad is
pure class. Along with Santi we should see the creative spark we so desperately need at the moment coz all this
pedestrian sideways play n lack of penetration of late is becoming very tedious.
Ramsey on the right..I just don't get it, Santos was yet again a liability in contrast to Sagna who looked his usual
top draw self, Giroud weren't looking too clever and overall we turned out quite a shitty performance but we
bagged the 3 points nonetheless.
Just hope we don't get raped in the arse at OT next week. A point would be a fine result.

Re: QPR
I was totally shocked how much of a media boost Jack has got this morning (guess I shouldn't be, he is English...)goonersid wrote:Dire performance, actually thought Jack's inclusion made it worse, seemed to unbalance the whole midfield and we only posed a threat when he was subbed.
I can't wait for a fully fit Wilshere back in the team, Santi/Jack/Tets will be an awesome midfield 3,
but unsurprisingly, returning after over a year, Wilshere couldn't really get into the game.
He was constantly unavailable and seemed on a different wavelength to his team-mates.
He retained the ball well but in that role - between the other two midfielders - he has to always be an outball for either of the others.
I'm really glad he was back, delighted he didn't get injured, and feel he might be right to keep him passing selection pretty conservative. I'm also confident his movement will improve exponentially as he gets used to playing between Arteta and Cazorla instead of Song and Fabregas.
Worth mentioning we had a total absence of pace in behind till Walcott arrived - refinding the balance was IMO Theo arriving as much as Jack leaving.
Re: QPR
Can someone wake me up when the second half's about to start
Zzzzzzzz..............Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................Zzzzzzzzzzzz
Well, watched it all online and I think that's the first time in the Wenger era I've been bored rigid for three games in a row. The guy who works on the half time highlights reel must have had his work cut out in the first half, and it would have been exactly the same in the second had Mbia not had his Joey Barton moment. A scrambled goal from our most effective player on balance just about told the story
Wenger needs to decide quickly whether he wants Walcott to stay or not because if he's made up his mind he wants him gone - fine, leave him out every week.....in fact don't even put him on the bench. If he wants him to stay then get the fucking contract sorted and put him in the starting line-up between now and the next time we sign any forward who can give even give a passing impression of a PL standard footballer
I've heard Wenger describe the problem recently being down to the fact that our passing hasn't been sharp enough, which just proves how differently he sees it to the rest of us. On the contrary I thought Arteta, Wilshere and Cazorla popped the ball around pretty well yesterday - the first 20 minutes especially - but what's the fucking point of all the slick passing in the world when Le Chapman is up top. Yes, its going to annoy all the "give him time" school, and no I don't give a shit that it does, but I'm afraid this guy has got absolutely nothing to offer this Arsenal side at all. Perhaps we don't play the right way for him - maybe he'd look better at Stoke or Sunderland - but if the Self Harmer insists on a slow build up played into feet then this fella has neither the pace or technique to establish himself here and that simply can't be coached.
One thing I will say is that I will credit the Mannone-kokey with making a save worthy of winning the game and therefore he's balanced out the 2 points he chucked away at Carrow Road. After Santos and TV5 did their disappearing act to allow the freestyling, skillmonster that is Jamie Mackie (FFS
) to dance his way through our non-existent left side of defence, he stood up tall and made the perfect judgement.
This result changes nothing other than the points total. Another lame effort where our lack of goalscoring threat showed itself up to a shocking level - Norwich, Schalke and QPR - one goal and barely a shot on target when playing 11 vs 11. Anyone who thinks the Forehead or Le Chapman can stem that tide is deluding themselves, and the non-shooting strikeforce will be even more painfully apparent at OT next weekend
