Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20128484
All prem ref's are mic'd up (Their microphones are open for all the game, so their assitants can hear what is going on/being said)...and I just don't see Clattenburg making racist comments to chav players, I know things can get very heated, but he seems far too much of a Pro to let such a thing happen, looks to me like the chavs are trying to exact some kind of revenge by slurring his name.
I think he is one of the better refs in the prem, and doesn't strike me as vindictive.
"The Football Association has begun an investigation into allegations made by Chelsea against referee Mark Clattenburg following Manchester United's 3-2 win at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have made a formal complaint against Clattenburg, accusing him of using "inappropriate language" towards two of their players on Sunday.
It is claimed Clattenburg used racial language, BBC Sport has learned.
Clattenburg has not been picked to officiate at a match this weekend.
A statement from referees' body the Professional Game Match Officials board said: "PGMO believe that with any football match the focus should not be on the officials but on the players and the game itself.
"Mark Clattenburg is one of the elite referees in world football and, in these circumstances, the intense level of scrutiny would detract from the match and be unfair to the clubs and the supporters of both sides."
The FA issued a statement on Monday confirming it has launched an investigation, adding it will make "no further comment at this time".
It is understood midfielder John Mikel Obi is involved in the complaint.
Peter Herbert, the lawyer behind the potential black players' breakaway union, has made a written complaint to the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) regarding the matter.
"Our information is that racist remarks were directed at John Mikel Obi and at Juan Mata. If so, that is wholly unacceptable in any circumstances," wrote Herbert.
"Although this matter may be investigated by the FA it is appropriate that the MPS independently see if a racially aggravated offence has occurred."
When Chelsea confirmed they would be making a complaint on Sunday, PGMO issued a statement confirming Clattenburg would co-operate with any investigation.
"PGMO is aware of the allegations and they are being treated with the utmost seriousness," the statement read.
"Mark will co-operate fully and welcomes the opportunity for the facts to be established."
Clattenburg, 37, is viewed by the PGMO as one of the country's leading officials and is on the Fifa list.
The Durham-born referee was put in charge of the League Cup final in February and the Olympic final between Brazil and Mexico in August.
Former Premier League official Graham Poll has suggested Chelsea's complaint could hinge on evidence from Clattenburg's assistants and the fourth official.
Linesmen Michael McDonough and Simon Long and fourth official Michael Jones may have heard conversations between Clattenburg and the players because all four officials wear microphones and ear pieces that allow them to hear what each other is saying during the game.
"A referee's microphone is on open. Everything he says is heard by [his or her] assistants," Poll told BBC Radio 5 live.
"So if Mark said something, the assistants would have heard it."

Clattenburg was supposed to of called Mata a ''Spanish twat''
Not sure if he got confused between Mata and Torres though.
Not sure what he is to of supposed to of said to Mikel aside ''you're a shit player''
Don't believe for a second that its true.

Re: Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
The fact that Mata isn't commenting on it probably speaks volumes. Why would he not speak out if he was indeed called something? He probably knows as well as anyone nothing happened, but doesn't want to undermine his club publicly.
This all seems like smoke and mirrors so shortly after the Terry saga.
If this is all proven to be completely untrue, I hope Chelsea faces some sanctions for this witch hunt.
I don't even understand what motive a ref would have to be racist, let alone who would be stupid enough to say something racist on the back of all the recent developments.

I love watching the chavs act hard done by when they finally lose a game, the media uproar is hilarious, ignoring the poor decisions in our game and in liverpool's and targetting poor chelsea.
I remember the barcelona tie in 2009, drogba pointing at the camera

Re: Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
I'd expect Mikel to have completely lost his rag if he got called a monkey or whatever and go over and make it clear to the bench, fourth official etc. If it isn't true (which I fully expect) then nothing will happen to him levelling false accusations because they can't disprove it beyond the word of the 4 officials. Yesterday was a shocking officiating performance but throwing round allegations like that is disgraceful unless true.

'monkey' is a strange one, if you have young kids like me, "monkey" can be a seemingly inoffensive go to insult
which sounds spectacularly inappropriate at the wrong moment in the wrong context

At least a 15 point deduction would be fair!!!Barriecuda wrote:

It would be interesting to total up the abuse directed at the ref by the Chav players and then weigh it against the 'inappropriate' language used by Clatternberg.
I don't know how referees don't twat most players, let alone swear at them.

Re: Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
I think this is a very cynical move by cfc seeing the refs being bullied by mufc and trying to show there will be a reaction if they shaft them in favour of slur alex, could backfire though, better be true what they are stating the ref has said.
tbf i think it happens all the time, did sagna not say the ref told him to fuck off and shut up? seems like they say things like this all the time, and i bet they are getting dogs abuse the other way at the time.

Re: Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
Didnt see the game and have Zero sympathy for Chelsea but it surprises me not that Clattenberg sent 2 chavs off .
He has always been a pro UTD ref and was following proudly in the footsteps of Mr Howard Web until he presided over the trouncing of UTD by City after which he was cast into Limbo as has been described elsewhere.
Like it or like it no there is a UTD certainly a Northern bias and there has been so for some time ,there is also a North South one too and has been for some time, ask Mr Dowd he fucking hates us .
Mourhino whilst at Chelsea knew it and his way of countering it was to hound the ref in every game on every kick which is why everyone hates the graceless cuntz ..........but it worked ! ! !

Re: Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
I have it on good authority that Clattenburg stole Arsene Wenger's magic hat because he believed it to possess miraculous restorative properties for (his) hair.
When asked about the alleged theft, the self-serving, publicity-hungry official claimed "I did not see it".

Hmm...
Club has history of bigotted fans
Club hero found guilty of racist abuse
All of a sudden a ref was racist
Childish fuckers.
