Thousands of spectators lined the course that took the field down to Salford Quays, past an FA Cup-less Old Trafford and back into the city centre.

Indeed, one female runner risked life and limb by competing in an Arsenal shirt and holding an inflatable FA Cup.

That was me. Best thing I ever did.

It was funny, cos I got loads of cheers and pats on the back from City fans and Scousers etc. One Manc fan got really angry and tried to grab the trophy, I actually thought he was gonna lamp me. That was my fastest 10 km ever!
