Re: Juventus
Bet they didn't get shafted as badly as we did at Old Trafford though (2004 not today), not even nearly.
Didn't Capello's Milan side go 58 games unbeaten or something like that? At least we set the record.

Yep spooky. C'ept remember we are not bent. Well, not going back to Henry Norris, not the forum poster.
Btw. Pierluigi Collina, ahem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,allegedly yawn.

The big difference to us (which is pretty significant) is they did what they did AFTER moving and not before! No years of decline. No excuses for failure.
How is this possible without miracle man Wenger at the helm? Surely he is the only man in world football capable of keeping a team at the top after moving stadiums? At least that’s what we’re told.
The proof apparently is that all other teams that built new stadiums have struggled so much that they were relegated. Even Wenger himself pointed this out. The only thing he forgot to mention was that these teams, Leicester, Derby and Middlesboro’ were teams that were relegated on a fairly regular basis long before they built new grounds.
Its almost as if this stadium excuse is total bollocks isn’t it?
But lets not let facts get in the way of defending Wenger. He is a genius and has worked miracles. With his hands tied don’t forget.

Not even Barry Bender could save them. The worlds greatest striker yet to score in Serie A
Fucking mug.

Fucking mug.
Re: Juventus
They know the drill once you finally lose after 49 games. They now need to embark upon an eight year mission to sell all of the players that took them on that run and led them to the title, replace them with a load of second raters from the French league and start winning Virtual Trophies on a regular basis. They now need to sell their best player to Inter because they can't agree a 5k per week wage rise on the basis of it being a self sustainable model
Or perhaps they'll behave like big clubs do by bouncing back and look to improve each year and add some more real trophies to their collection

That summer, and the summer after when Henry left, felt like the end of an era, but never in a million years could I have imagined what Wenger and the board were planning for the future...SteveO 35 wrote:They know the drill once you finally lose after 49 games. Part of me wonders if going the season unbeaten gave Wenger a God complex that gave him the confidence to rip up his successful blueprint and embark on his youth project.

In the long term the unbeaten season was probably bad for the club's health, as our past-his-sell-by-date manager has lived off it now for 8 unsuccessful years... still, it was a wonderful season and an amazing achievement...

if only he had retired/resigned the morning after the CL final in 2006.

Re: Juventus
How on earth did a Juve thread become an anti-Wenger rant thread.
Not an AKB but come on FFS every thread reads almost the same. You get more levity about us from glory glory.
Anyway that game is why for me till he stops playing and even even afterwards Rooney and VNR will both always be grade A c**ts.
On the flip side speaking of symmetry probably karmathat the unbeaten run technically was on its way down to aPires dive and gets ended by a granny shagging balding c**t.

Q. - How can you tell an AKB?
A. - Cause they always say "I'm not an AKB but.........."
